Sibling Rivalry

Prologue

      I've always thought myself a simple woman. I love my cat, I enjoy a good card game, and I like to tend to my garden. All simple things, really.

      I've always believed that the simplest things bring us the most joy, a mentality granted to me by my dear mother. Taken from this Earth far too soon, she was. I admired her greatly. Growing up, it was just her, my brother, and I. Looking back at it feels like some strange dream, and it pains me to do so. Sometimes, memories are just meant to be memories. They aren't meant to be relived.
