I stare up at my ceiling.
Music blasting in my ears per usual.
The colored lights I have on loop.
The vibrations of the bass in my head.
Then a knock on my door ruins it all.
"Good morning Chibi-chan~"
Looking up, I spot the my older brother, Kuroo Tetsurō. His hair messier than usual.
"What do you mean good morning?" I ask.
"You stayed up all night I'm guessing...?"
Turning around to look at my window, I see sunlight coming through.
"Apparently..."
"You need to sleep kid..." Kuroo groaned as he pulled me into a hug. He wrapped his arms around my waist while I put mine around his neck.
He's really warm...
"Don't call me kid just because I'm one year younger than you." I say, shoving my face into his shoulder.
"But look at how short you are Chibi-baby!"
"I'm not that short!"
"Yes you are! Now come on let's go eat something!"
He pulled me off of him and dragged me into the kitchen to make breakfast. I ended up making rice with soup. He washed the dishes for me as I got everything ready at the table.
"Thank you for the meal." We both said before digging in.
We both ate silently for a few minutes before Kuroo asked me some questions.
"Why didn't you sleep today?"
"I was listening to music..." I answer in a slightly shamed tone.
"Were you at least in your bed than on the floor?"
"Yup." I replied, shoving rice into my mouth.
"Good. You need to sleep more though. I'm going to start getting you sleeping pills or something."
"I would LOVE that!"
"I know you would aha."

After eating, we both went to get ready. I took less time to get ready because unlike my brothers hair, mine was easier to handle.
While I was putting on the uniform given to me, I notice that it showed too much of my hips than I'd like it to. I peep my head into Kuroo's room.
"Yo do you know if I'm aloud to wear jackets over the uniform?"
"Shit bro I don't know."
"Hmm...I gonna wear one anyways."
"You do you."
I went back into my room and grabbed the largest jacket I could find. I was going to be needed a lot of comfort for today. I also shoved my nintendo switch in my bag for "entertainment".
A new school...
A few weeks into the year thankfully...
But still, a new school...
Gross.
Walking into the hallway, I hear Kuroo humming something. Oh god it's the Pi song...
"Stop singing your little nerd songs and get ready faster so we can leave and I can get this day over with!" I groan out.
