Sitting up gingerly, Oliver groaned. The spattering of purple across his ribs hadn't quite healed over from the wicked bludger he had taken the other day.

Hauling himself over the edge of the bed, a hand pressed to his side, he managed to limp his way into his robes and out the door, grimacing painfully all the way to the medical wing where he sat heavily on one of the beds, waiting for Madame Pomfrey and the other students who milled about helping her.

"Can I help you?"

He tilted his head, and was met by the clarion gaze of a witch he had never seen before.

Those are tiger's eyes.

Ringed in the lightest verdant, richest browns, and threaded with silver. He gestured helplessly to his side. She only cocked an elegant eyebrow.

"You're going to have to use your words."

"Bludger. My ribs. I'd bet you can fill in the rest." He muttered.

She only rolled her eyes, piling supplies into her arms from the cabinets before returning to his side, flicking a wand neatly over the ice, pouring liquid into a vial and handing it to him.

"Painkillers. Swelling reduction." She said pointing to the medicine and cold compress.

She was gone in a whirl of black and golden robes, leaving him to choke down the potion and place the frosty bundle against the dulling pain in his side.

Tiger's heart. He thought, glancing back to see the sun catch the black claws of her hair clasp, lighting her golden hair in a halo.

Foolish. Oliver said, heading out of the room in hopeful anticipation for the antics of Hogsmeade.

"I should have asked for a second dose." Oliver hissed as a body rammed into his still tender side, the mass of students jostling into one another as they made their way into Hogsmeade.

"Nothing butterbeer can't fix," was all Potter murmured as one of the Weasleys talked with the sharp jawed girl from Gryffindor.

Oliver rolled his eyes, and cursed as someone from behind knocked into him painfully.

He stopped abruptly, temper snapping, as he turned,

"Seriously can't you watch where you're-"

"No."

The girl from the infirmary stumbled, her shoulder hitting his chest. She was awfully smaller than he remembered, still fierce eyed, but her head barely coming past his chin.

Malfoy brushed past, shoulder butting carelessly into hers again and she shoved back hard. He stopped, a sneer freezing his face.

"Out of the way." Goyle leered, pushing into her harder with a heavy hand while Draco watched on coldly.

"Watch it." Woods snapped back at the trio.

He steadied her with a hand on her back as they continued to shuffle forwards.
