Chapter 2

Sam/ Reader
May do a part 2 to this, if anybody wants. I will also be doing other requests.
The first chapter was done with readinginthetardis11 but I will continue the rest of it on my own.

You sit alone at a table in the small reading area of the library. The few other tables that are there, are full. You come here everyday and no one likes to sit with you.
Today is different though, your table is left empty, as usual, but a little while after you sit down a tall guy with long hair sits opposite of you. He smiles shyly at you and sets down his stack of books, they are all covered in dust, like they haven't been taken off the shelves in years, which judging by the titles, they haven't.
"I like science fiction." The guy says noticing you staring at the books. "You know, the real science fiction." He chuckles slightly. "The stuff no one reads because they are too afraid, or creeped out." He puts he hand out and you shake it. "Sam. Sam Winchester." He smiles, looking at you expectantly. "Y/N." You say, more like fumble, and look back down at your book.
You sit together until both of your stacks are done, he finishes before you and goes to get more. Soon he heads over to the desk and takes out a few books that are in Latin and others that talk about a creature you can't even pronounce. He comes back with his stack of books, leaving them untouched and sits back in his chair until you close your last book. You wave to the librarian as you walk past and step into the cold air, it's already dark out. Sam smiles at you and nods towards the left.
"I'm going this way." He explains. You smile.
"Me too." You grin. You know that you just met this guy, but you think you might like him. Sam grins back and pulls his jacket over his broad shoulders.
You walk for a few minutes without saying anything, just walking side by side occasionally bumping arms.
"Are you new in town?" You ask, trying to make conversation, also you were curious. You hadn't been here long but it was a pretty small town and you'd never seen him before.
"Yeah, I'm here with my brother. We're here on some," He takes a short pause before continuing. "business." He smiles slightly.
"Business?" You ask, confused by his use of the word, like it was some inside joke only he knew.
"Yeah, me and my brother now run our family business. It requires a lot of traveling." He smiles with that look again.
"There it is again!" You say, pointing at him.
"What?" He asks putting his hands up and chuckle slightly.
"That look, it's like you know something I don't. And you're just rubbing it in. Don't lie to me Sam Winchester." You say wiggling your finger at him. He breaks into a wide grin and tilts his head back letting out a short deep laugh, it almost takes your breath away.
"You got me. I am here with my brother with our family business," He explains, exaggerating family business. "But our family business isn't exactly normal, and it's dangerous. I can't really talk about it." He shrugs.
"Huh." Is all you say, a little shocked and still confused.
You shiver as the wind picks up, and pull your thin sweater closer to you, you didn't think it would be this cold. Sam takes off his jacket and wraps it around your shoulders. You smile and continue walking in silence.
"So, where are you staying?" You ask, trying to break the silence.
"Local motel." He says, nodding in its direction. "Room 204." He says, nodding his head like he's confirming it.
"Huh." You say again. "What?" He asks looking at you with eyes that could've melted your heart right then and there.
"Me too. I'm also sort of new in town. I'm staying in room 206." He breaks into a grin again and you can't help but do the same.
"So, what brings you to town?" He asks, casually making conversation. You know he's just being polite but you instantly tense and move away slightly out of instinct. He immediately notices you closing off.
"Oh, I'm sorry. That's personal, it's okay if you don't want to tell me." He says looking genuinely sorry and a little offended.
"No, I'm sorry. It's just something that's really hard to talk about." You say, your voice shaking slightly. He puts his arm around your shoulder and kisses the top of you head as you come up to the motel. He walks you to your door.
"It's okay. I understand, your past is your past. It shouldn't be anyone else's business." He says, stepping closer.
"Thanks for understanding." You whisper as you stand on your toes and lightly press your lips to his, when you pull away he won't look at you.
"What? What's wrong?" You asks, worrying that you did something wrong.
"Nothing, it's just.. I won't be in town very long. I few more days at most." He says giving you a sad look. Your heart drops but somehow you still feel a little bit of hope.
"Just promise me one thing. That we can spend as much time as we can together before you leave. And that before you do leave, you will say goodbye, no matter what." He places his forehead against yours and you close your eyes.
"Promise." He whispers just before you feel him pull away. You open your eyes just in time to see him close the door behind him, in the room two doors down.

You are sitting at the library, three days later. You and Sam had spend every moment possible together, either here or at the motel. He was about an hour late, and you had excepted that he wasn't coming. You gathered up you stuff and start walking back to the motel.
"Y/N!" You hear from behind you when you are about half way to the motel. You turn around to see Sam getting out his brothers Impala and running towards you, you smile at him just before his lips crash on to yours, his hands on your hips and yours around his neck. You stay like that until breath becomes necessary, you pull away and he puts his forehead against yours.
"I don't want to go." He whispers looking you straight in the eyes. "I don't want to leave you." That was the moment you were pretty sure you were falling in love with Sam Winchester.
"I don't want you to go either." You say, glancing at Dean, who was leaning up against the Impala. "But you have to. I know you do, and that's okay. Because somehow I just know that I'll see you again." You say pressing you lips against his briefly, one last time. He starts to walk backwards.
"Good bye Sam, I love you." You say, trying to hole back tears. It only took three days. Three days to fall in love with Sam.
"I love you too. I promise I'll see you again." He says, the turns and walks back to the Impala. You bite your lip, trying to hold back tears as he walks away. When you hear the Impala start and watch them drive away, you finally let the tears fall, promising yourself that you will see him again.
