I was hanging out with millie. we were talking about everything, our favorite movies to our favorite colors. but then i made the most stupid mistake i could ever make. "so millie," i started, "do you fancy anyone?" she laughed. "fancy? if youre asking if i like anyone, the answer is no." this time, i laugh. "but you do!" i immediately sit up, changing from laying on my back. "noah!" she grins at me. "shut up!" i throw a pillow at her. "whats going on between you two? oh my god! are you guys together?" "no! we-we arent together." i tell her. she gives me a confused look, "seriously? wow. well what happened at his house then?" i panic. shit she cant know! what did i tell noah, god think faster! "i-uh nothing. we just talked, and i told him about a new song." it looks like she bought it, imagine if i told her that i kissed him. "wait what?" i did not just say that out loud. play stupid! "hmm?" "dont play dumb! you said you told him about a new song! what was it!" i let out a breath. thank god. "its not important." millie shrugs, and drops it. i glance at my phone, "shit! i have to go!" she stands up, "where?" "uh-to see noah!" i fumble with my keys. "im gonna be late! bye!" running out to my car, i can hear her yell bye.
lets just say, im driving pretty fast.
not reckless though.
i finally got to his house, not even late! we greeted eachother and walked to the resturant where he was taking me.
"noah." he looks at me, "what?" "would you call this our first date?" a smile spreads across his face. "no, weve done things like this before" i pretend to think, "i suppose we have."
most of the date was just us talking, we took some pictures, and then headed back to his house. on the walk back, i cant help but notice him staring at me. i gently grab his arm, spinning him towards me. "whats up?" noah opens his mouth, and then closes it. his eyes wander, and then he finally clears his throat. "i-i uh" he fumbles with his hands, "gemma, will you be my girlfriend?" a small smile appears on my face. "of course."
