Jisoo lets a faint smile and nods in response.

"But how?! I've searched everywhere to the point I practically gave up the idea of ever getting one.." He continues to play with the tiny puppy, cooing it like a real child.

"I uh-paid a downpayment at this adoption center and was placed as the first person to contact once they received that breed. THIS WAS DURING THE SUMMER THOUGH!" Jisoo felt quite embarrassed not knowing why she felt the need to explain the last part especially not in such a loud volume.

Jisoo observes the way his eyes totally looked in love in that small black fur being. It's like all her worries and hesitation upon arrival and this meeting all became worth it, subconsciously she was definitely satisfied she chose to come today, she would have regretted it more if she decided not to.

"What should I name him Chu?" Taehyung spoke excitedly prior realizing he spoke towards her as if everything was back to normal, for a second it felt like that.

"Oh uh— i don't know, maybe Yeontan? Because of his dark black fur? I DON'T KNOW IT'S YOUR DOG!" Jisoo replied awkwardly.

His boxy smile that Jisoo has not seen in a while made a warm appearance, Taehyung opens his mouth about to reply, but like Jisoo had predicted, luck seems to never be on her side, especially when it comes to Taehyung.

Taehyung's phone began to ring, Jisoo got a glimpse of the caller id as Taehyung pulled his phone out of his pocket.

"Tzuyu" she had read.

Jisoo's vision narrowed, failing to notice the bland and disappointed expression on Taehyung's face reading the caller id as her mind only focused on the name.

"You should answer that!" Jisoo said quickly.

"Happy Birthday V... I'll see you around." Jisoo lastly says, turning her back completely as she speedily walked away not waiting for V's response.
