"But first, which of you can tell me how many unforgivable curses there are?"

"Three, sir." Hermione answered, weakly.

"And they are so named?" Professor Moody asked, peering at her like a hawk.

"Because they are unforgivable, " Magnolia answered, uncomfortable but still willing to learn. "Use of anyone of them will-"

"Will earn you a one way trip to Azkaban. Correct." He interrupted. "Now the Ministry say you're too young to see what these curses do. I say different."

He turned back the the board as he began writing out two of their names. "You need to know what you're up against! You need to be prepared, you need to find somewhere else to put your chewing gum other than the underside of your desk, Mr. Finnigan!"

Confused, some of the students looked right at Seamus. And sure enough, he was about to do just that. "Aw, no way the old codger can see out the back of his head."

His words made Moody spin around and launch his chalk at him. Hitting him square on his head. "So which curse shall we see first? WEASLEY!"

Ron jumped, kind of squeaking under his breath. "Y-Yes?"

"Give us a curse." Moody demanded, crossing his arms.

Ron looked around him nervously as he began speaking sheepishly. "Well, my dad did tell me about one....The imperious curse."

"Ahh, yes, your father would know all about that, wouldn't he?" He replied almost sarcastically. "Gave the ministry quite a bit of grief a few years ago. Perhaps this will show you why."

Everyone walked as Moody opened a glass jar with a spider in it. He made the spider float out of the jar, making everyone nearly jump out of their seats. The students watched, feeling very uneasy about the dangerous looking spider. Suddenly, Moody made the spider float around the classroom, landing on Adorabella's desk.

She screamed, jumping up from her desk. Causing Susan Bones, her seat mate, to do the same thing. "Don't worry, completely harmless!" Moody chuckled out as he flicked his wand, sending the same spider to another student. Some laughed while some moved out of the way.

Magnolia watched on, feeling even more on edge. Partially because she didn't like spiders. Not at all.

Draco started laughing at a Gryffindor nearly screaming when the spider landed on their head. But Moody heard him laugh and decided to make the spider land on him. "What are you laughing at?"

He screamed as the spider crawled on his face, making everyone watching laugh. "Talented, isn't she?" Moody asked, making the spider fly to the nearest window. "What shall I have her do next? Jump out the window? Drown herself?"

He made the spider dunk itself into a tank of water. The silence came back as the atmosphere grew serious. Magnolia couldn't help but to stare at it as he made it float back to his desk.

"Scores of witches and wizards have claimed that they only did you-know-whose bidding under the influence of the imperious curse." Moody's voice became darker and more creepier than ever as Magnolia's eyes widened slightly. Her shaking hand gripped into a fist as she felt her heart bump louder.

"But here's the rub, how do we sort out the liars? Another...." He said, making the spider dig a hole deeper into the sand. "Come on, Longbottom is it? Up."

He called Neville, who looked like he was about to pass out as he reluctantly stood up and walked over to him.

Moody made him stand right in front of the cursed spider as he continued on. "Professor Sprouts tells me you have an aptitude for herbology."

"They're um..... " Neville mumbled, nervously. "The cruciatus curse."

"Correct! Correct!" Moody said, "Particularly nasty. The torture curse."

Magnolia watched with fear and shock as he began torturing the spider in front of Neville, who looked incredibly uncomfortable. If he didn't look like he was ready to faint, he did now. His face grew red as he began breathing heavily the longer the spider made painfilled noises.

It had gotten to a point where Magnolia couldn't take it anymore. She had to say something. She wanted this to stop. "Stop it!" She yelled, standing up abruptly. She gathered everyone's attention after her sudden outburst. "Can't you see its bothering him?! Stop it please!"

Harry watched his sister shake as she almost pleaded for Moody to stop his display of a torturous curse. He could feel the fear radiating off of her shaking being as he grew concerned for her wellbeing. Magnolia was never the one to handle pain well. She had compassion for everyone and hated seeing someone she cared about in pain.

"Perhaps you can give us the last unforgivable curse, Miss Potter." Moody said ominously, picking up the squealing spider as he walked over to the terrified girl.

Magnolia's eyes began watering as she stared at the spider that was now in front of her. Her eye widened as he laid the spider on her desk.

She shook her head, refusing to say the last one. The curse that killed her parents. The curse that has haunted her since she learned what it was.

Seeing as she wasn't going to talk, Moody casted the spell anyways. "Avada Kadavra." He whispered, making the spider disintegrate before her. She couldn't help but jump as the spider completely died.

Her breath shortened as he continued. "The killing curse. Only two people are known to have survived that.....One's standing in front of me and the other is sitting in this room."

Moody took a big drink from his flask after glancing at Harry, who looked rather scared but very concerned.

Just before the class could be dismissed, Magnolia turned and bolted out of the classroom. Not caring if people were watching her. She couldn't be in that classroom any longer. She had to leave or else she would have broken down in front of everyone.
