"oh yea sure, bye then"

i waved at him then left to basically punch jake in the face.

"you little asshole u think it's funny huH"

"yea it actually was"

he wouldn't stop laughing and it was starting to agitate me. so i skated away from him only to turn back and charge at him, full speed. he got so scared not knowing what I was going to do. he tried to skate away but he sucked so i kept getting closer and closer to him, only to stop right in front of him skidding some ice onto his skates. he fell back, frightened thinking that I was gonna do something worse.

"hmm that's what I thought"

i flipped my flyaway hairs in front of his face then skated away to give myself some more alone time.

i was looking around to see if sunghoon was still here. i spotted him in the middle of the rink, doing awesome tricks.

'woahhh that's so cool'

i kept staring at him until someone broke me out of whatever kind of hypnoses that was.

"what cha lookin atttttt" i was shocked to see youngmi by my side staring at what I was staring at.

"OOOO THE NEW KID. I KNEW SOMETHING WOULD HAPPEN BETWEEN YOU TWO"

"what do you mean there's nothing between us.
we don't even talk"

"well maybe you should"

"says the one that's had a crush on her best friend for like 100 years now. speaking of jay, where is he?"
she pointed to the two boys skating and having fun together.

"oh" was all i could say

"sooo you and sunghoon huh, huh?" she kept nudging here elbow into my side.

"ughhh there's nothing" i said laughing a bit at how she could make such an unbelievable assumption.

"but do you want something"

i had no idea what she was talking about and squinted my eyes at her

"what are you talking about"

"tsk be his friend" she got annoyed at my obliviousness

"WHAT? ME? WHY?"

"why not? you're a curious person sunhee. i know you better than you think, and i know for a fact that you're curious in that guy"

she pointed over at sunghoon, who was still doing cool tricks, landing each one of them.
i hated that she was right. i was wondering how a quiet anti-social guy like him could look so peaceful and magnificent on the ice. then again, i was quiet and antisocial myself, but there were very rare time's when I wanted to try new things. youngmi knew that this was one of those times. i looked over at her with an annoyed face, hating how she knew me so well.

"fine I'll try to talk to him at school"

"yes good girl"

i didn't know what I was going to get out of doing so.
a new friend? a classmate im close to? i had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into, but seeing him how he was today made me want to find out. i kept watching him do tricks. i loved how I could feel his emotion. that's why im so curious. he's such a quiet person, yet the emotion he's radiating right now draws me in. that's how i felt sometimes too. i love to dance. im not good at telling people how i feel so i express it through dance. youngmi has been the only person who can read me like a book. jake also getting good at it. i had decided that I'll try to talk to him at school tomorrow.

we all finished skating and decided to leave and get something to eat. we were about to walk off until i spotted something laying on the ice. i bent down to pick it up. i held it in my hand, realising it was a small penguin keychain. i observed it to see if there was a name on it, which there was. there was a name written on the bottom of the penguin's feet reading....

'who the heck names a penguin, park sunghoon'

I was thinking about it for a moment then realised. 'OH WAIT MAYBE THIS BELONGS TO SUNGHOON, THE NEW KID' it would make sense if it did, since we- well i ran, into him ealier. this was good. this would be a good way to start talking to him. with that thought, we left the ice rink to buy food. i remembered to call sunoo and ask what he wanted to eat. he wanted tteokbokki , so I bought it for him and then we all went home. youngmi dropped me off and i entered the house yelling out to sunoo to come eat. he dug into it right away, and then i realised we had the same favourite food. tteokbokki.

i showered then laid in bed, exhausted from today. tomorrow was going to be the day I started to try and talk to sunghoon. i started to get tired and drifted off to sleep with one last thought on my mind

'i can do this'
