Anna watches as her mother lays still, tears fill the girl’s eyes, as she watches her mother's life disappear. Her mom looks at Anna "Come... Here.." She motions for her to come closer. The small girl moves closer as her mother whispers "I love you..." The young girl sits back up still in tears. Her father sits in tears next to her "No.. No…Naya no.." He mumbles. Her mother smiles as Anna holds her hand "Momma?" Her soft monotone voice echoes through the silent room. Her mother holds her hand as the light fades, Anna only being 6 holds her hand "Momma you can't leave me and daddy…" As the night goes silent as you can hear the sobs. Later that night she stood at her window as she stared blankly at the dark sky. She watches as her father leaves to go to the bar she sighs. She goes to sit on her bed as she waits for her drunken father to get home, her eyes becoming droopy as she slowly falls asleep.
She wakes up to the door slamming open Anna hears stomping upstairs. Anna sits up and starts climbing out the window her father runs in with a knife "COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Her father runs back downstairs as Anna runs into the woods, her father following close behind her short legs running as fast as she can. She can hear her father close behind her and she hears rustling when Anna bumps into something she looks up to see a tall faceless man staring back. The man holds his hand out as she takes it when her father sees the man he screams as he turns around and runs back home. The tall man stares at her before pointing for her to go back home, She stares at the man before turning around and walks back.
She carefully opens the door to see her father asleep on the floor. She stares at him for a moment, she walks to the fridge and grabs an apple she takes a bite. She then rushes to her room slowly closing the door making sure not to awake the drunk man. She sits down on her bed and quietly thinks to herself, she starts crying, her silent sobs echo through the house she itches her arms, her nails dig into her skin cutting the pale girl's skin. The night becomes silent as it slowly becomes day.
