Ask/Dare Aikatsu Stars and Aikatsu Friends

A/N: VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ

Hello everyone! It's me, @rikkaxira4ever, the writer for this book. Just today, I noticed that all of my stories have been pirated and put on a Vietnamese website called Doc Truyen. Obviously, this is a very huge problem, as all the work and their copyrights belong to me. Sadly, since I don't know Vietnamese, I am unable to navigate the website and have therefore come up with a temporary solution of sorts (If any of you readers do know Vietnamese, it would be really helpful if you could try and translate the website or at least attempt to navigate it!)

I did some research, and I have found out that this is actually a very common problem here on Wattpad, and it has been happening to a lot of individuals. At first, it was hard to believe, but after a bit of snooping around, my friend found that her newly created second account (made about a week or 2 ago), has also been pirated, and all of the works on that account have also been pirated. And this is what made me suspicious. If the website was pirating for fame, they probably would have stopped at pirating only my account and my friend's original account. But the fact that they've even pirated an account with barely any activity and followers is very suspicious. And if a person was manning the website, they would have also noticed that one of the books on my friends first account was copy pasted over onto their second account, which meant they didn't have to pirate that second account at all and would have had the book just by pirating only the original account's books. But it happened. And that's what got me thinking. What if Wattpad's security isn't as strong as they claim it is? What if they have something to do with many many accounts and books (even the small accounts and books) being pirated onto this website? Because of this, I am wary of submitting a DMCA form (the copyright infringement form) to Wattpad. Not only that, but the form also asks us for a bunch of personal info, such as your real first and last name, and even things like your postal code and home address. I am already wary of putting anything on the internet (hence why my real name isn't anywhere on here), and am also wary of giving my real name to random people, even if it is for my copyright claim.

To solve this problem, we need the help of you readers. One of the first things I'd like you to do is remove your name and any real info off here (for your own safety). I'd also like you to go to the website that's pirated my books and go check if your books have been pirated as well. If so, I'd like you to comment that you're experiencing the same problem (I'll make a line at the bottom of this note where you can comment). Telling me that you're going through the same thing will allow me to gauge how big of a problem this may be, and if required, we can all come up with a petition and take it straight to Wattpad, as I am sure that when you signed up for this website, you were at least somewhat confident that your information and books were safe. What this website is doing is wrong, and even if Wattpad has nothing to do with it, if it's on a large scale, they won't be able to ignore it. Another thing I need you to do is to share this information as much as possible. Updates on your books, message boards, anything. If anyone responds to your message, please do keep me updated on generally how many people are experiencing this problem. Working together, we can get the justice we deserve.
