Jamack landed the dragonfly on a cliff near the edge of a forest once you were sure the mod frogs were far enough away for you to take a break.

Jamack sat you down on a rock nearby as he began to untie the tight ropes around you.

"Y- your lip is bleeding," you tell him as a small drop of blood falls down his cheek and onto his once white now bloodstained shirt collar.

"Oh is it?" Jamack didn't seem to be paying attention and was lost in thought. He looked depressed and focused on untying the ropes. You pitied him, a feeling you were surprised by.

"Why did you do that?" You ask him.

He looks up at you, his facial expression slightly changing from sad to a bit confused, "Huh?"

"Why did you save me?" You stare into his eyes.

He was quiet and hesitant. He was looking for a reason or excuse for why.

"If they were gonna take my job anyways, it wasn't worth letting them take all the credit for finding the burrow," he replied, he went back to unraveling the rope. Everything went silent and awkward again.

"What are you gonna do now?" You question timidly.

"I..." he paused glancing away in the distance, "I don't know."

He finished untying the rope and you shook your arms out like you hadn't used them in days. You rubbed your shoulders which ached from the tight ropes.

Jamack stood up and wiped the blood from his lip and dusted off his filthy tattered suit. He used the rope to tie a leash around the large blue dragonfly before heading towards the forest.

He stopped abruptly and turned to glance at you, "Are you coming?"

Your eyes widen in confusion before you slowly stood up and followed him into the trees of the overgrown jungle of branches.

Jamack was quiet, you couldn't blame him since he did just get kicked out of his only home and family. He probably feels like it's the end of the world.

"Uhh I'm Y/N by the way," You try to start up a conversation to hide the awkward tension between the two of you, "Since you keep calling me Burrow Girl and we haven't really had a proper introduction."

Jamack looks down at you and smiles softly before he asks, "Well Y/N, what brings you to the surface?"

You chuckle awkwardly before explaining, "It's kind of an odd story, my burrow got attacked by a huge mutant animal of some sort and I got stuck up here."

"The surface really isn't a place for burrow people like you, Scarlemagne could've easily snatched you," Jamack tells you, "You're lucky he didn't."

"Why is everyone so afraid of him?"

"He's the most powerful mutant in all of Las Vistas, he has some weird way of controlling people. I'm not exactly sure myself, but I'm not exactly interested in finding out."

"I just hope that Kipo or the others haven't been caught yet," you sigh as you look up and cross your arms.

You and Jamack walk a bit further out of the bushes and trees and reach a large broken dent in the ground that had pieces of metal and building sticking out of the dirt.

"Wait a minute..." You feel like this place is familiar. You stare up to see the tangle of roads above that form the shape of the clover around the hole.

You gasp in realisation, "This is my burrow!"

You run down into the large pit of concrete and rubble in search of any survivors in excitement.

"Y/N, be careful!" Jamack shouts from the edge of the cracked surface before he tied the dragonfly to a nearby tree and climbed cautiously into the pit himself.

"Hello? Anybody?" You call out as he pit echoes your voice, hoping someone would reply.

"No one's here," Jamack says as he looks around the destroyed burrow.

"They must have escaped, there is no possible way that mega-mute killed everyone," You tell him, you weren't one to give up that easily.

"Well, where would they have gone?" Jamack asks.

You try to think, you begin to look around for clues or hints to anything that could help. You look down and see multiple large muddy paw prints on the broken concrete.

"Look here! Paw prints!" You shout with a grin.

Jamack walks over and bends down on his knees to get a better look, "Hmm probably from a cat or a wolf maybe, some sort of mammal mute."

"We've got to follow them! They could lead to my people or Kipo or something!" You begin to get excited.

"Or they could lead to danger," Jamack replies, "Scarlemange is sure to know your around and will be looking for you by now."

"I don't care! I need to find Kipo, or else she could be in danger," You tell him, "Are you with me or not?"

Jamack stares at you for a short while before facepalming and shaking his head whilst letting out a whisper to himself, "Why am I doing this?"

He let out a long annoyed groan before saying, "Fine, I'll help you."

You begin to let out a Cheshire cat grin before giving the frogman a tight hug, "Thank you."

"Yeah yeah, okay get off me," Jamack demanded, he was quickly becoming annoyed.

"Let's go!" You say as you climb out of the pit.
