Hey! I'm Adrianne 'anne' for short,im 23 and i have been living in NYC (Bronx) since i could remember but then later moved up to Brooklyn. I'm originally from the Dominican Republic but moved to New York with my family when i was just two years old, I have an older brother named Troy and an older sister named Kenya . My parents name are Marissa and Reece
My parents moved us here to have a 'better life' and to have more opportunities for education. At first learning the language of a different country was really REALLY hard but after a while we just picked it up and started talking how New york people talk but we still know how to speak spanish i guess you can say we're 'Bilingual'.
I grew up with a love for drake's music since i was very little i could remember the first song i heard from him was his verses in 'BED ROCK' Man i was so in love with him , everything was going well in my life that was making me so happy i felt like nothing could bring me down.
But boy was i wrong so very wrong. One day we were at the park , my mom was watching us play on the monkey bars while troy was focused on this girl he liked at the time and all if a sudden when she stood up she fell down .We rushed over to her since troy was the oldest he called 911 and then our dad, it felt like eternity waiting for the ambulance to get here our eyes filled with tears that were streaming down out faces like a waterfall she laid there lifeless and unconscious as we waited.
In the midst we could hear the ambulance sirens blarring. When they finally arrived they took her up and placed her onto the stretcher they told us that we could come with her since we were uderage and because of the law they couldnt leave us alone. On the way to the hospital one of the men talked to my father and told him the hospital she was being transported too, we never stopped crying.
When we arrived to the hospital my dad was already there and rushed over too us , he talked to the doctors and they ran test after test.
My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and it was already too late to start chemo, they tired though the doctors never gave up on my mother and neither did we. She passed away in the summer of 2015 and boy was that hard troy,kenya and i were really close with her and it really hit us.
My dad also had a hard time dealing with this i mean this was the love of his life when my mom and dad were together you could feel the love radiating off of them that's how strong their love was and i hope one day
Drake's music helped me smile again sling with praying to god .
Drake was like the person to say all the write words in a song too me as i cried myself to sleep at nights.
