• Chapter Twenty Three

Shakily I reach up to push the wooden door of the stable open. It creeks as I push it slowly. I take a deep breath when it's wide open and step inside.

Oh my God.

My eyes water and the tears are falling like a river flow at the sight before me. Covering my mouth I sob and laugh at the same time.

The feeling is indescribable.

"Loise my love this is for you," he says over the microphone shakily and then starts strumming the guitar. He is standing on a mini stage and looking straight into my eyes with so many emotions running in them. I can tell how nervous he is but there's something in his eyes that takes my breath away.

Love.

I'm going to faint. I look around, we are not alone. God no we definitely aren't!

Everyone is here and when I say everyone I mean from Robert, Lisa, Carol, and my mom, workers, Vicky, Dylan, Regina, Ian, Gabriel, Haley, and more people that I can't even recognize anymore with all the tears that are blocking my vision. All of them are sharing the same smile.

I turn to Vicky and eye her questioningly while she nods and smiles as if telling me that it's all the plan.

"You did this?" I mouth. She nods and pointed at Clace "He did." she mouths back.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Clace deliberately acted everything. He planned all this. He made me worried, he made sure I wanted him and boy did I give him that. He is good.

He made me want him. Desperately, until I cracked.

God, I nearly asked him out but this is so much better.

He started to hum the intro of the song which makes me look back at him.

He sang with his eyes still connected with mine. The same blistering, smoldering, and the same very gentle look that he carries always is visible gyrating onto mine. It feels like the world has paused and everything has disappeared.

He finished the song without snapping his gaze away from me. His lips curve into a smile. I'm standing here frozen on my feet. I watch him slowly unstrapping his guitar from his shoulder and putting it down on the stage before jumping out down on the ground.

He is slowly making his way towards me with our eyes still locked together.

Oh God! I'm gonna die from all this incredibly bizarre yet powerful feeling. Tears continue cascading from my eyes traveling down my chin.

In one swift movement, he is in front of me. His hands found my cold ones while he got me speechless. Our breaths come out synchronized as we stare at each other with very close proximity. Our noses are almost touching as his hot sweet breath touches my cheeks as we drink each other in.

Until he heaved a deep shaky breath and breathed out the question I've been dying to hear all week.

"Marloe Loise Steven, the love of my life, will you give me the honor to hold your hand, kiss you, shower you with love and remind you how much you mean to me? Will you be my girlfriend?"

Hah.

A/N: Annnd thats Chapter Twenty Three guys!! I just realized that this book just reached the next level of cheesiness that makes me shiver and not in a good way. And Ed Sheeran is so mainstream lol. But guys feel the song.
