"Lacie Lynn Salem that's like against the rules," whispered Jane, Lacie shrugged

"So who cares about reputations aren't we all in charge of our lives instead of our mothers?" Asked Lacie

"She does have a point Jane," said Diana, Jane looked at Lacie and rolled her eyes

"But both of our mom's are in charge of the progressive mothers club so we don't have a choice,"

After Jane said that Mr Phillips walked out of the supply room

"Ok young bright minds, open your readers to page 23 and as you can tell the orphan won't be coming back so josie I need to sit next to Diana and Tillie I need you next to ruby,"

After mr Phillips said that the two girls moved

It was after school and Lacie was walking home with her sister LeAnn, the two girls walked down the path to there house until LeAnn spoke up

"What's up with you and billy?" Asked LeAnn as she looked at her younger sister

"What do you mean? we're fine"

"I caught billy staring at you in class today that's why I'm asking," smirked LeAnn

"That's non sense he must've been looking at Josie," laughed Lacie

"Whatever you say know it all," said LeAnn as she walked further leaving Lacie behind

"LeAnn Wait!" Shouted Lacie as she ran to catch up with her older sister

But the night of that day was tragic for the Salem family.

"Fire! Fire!" Said rosella as she was trying to wake up her two girls who shared a room.

Lacie and LeAnn got up instantly with LeAnn holding onto Lacies hand

That was until they got down the stairs, Lacie let go of her sisters hand and ran back to her room

"Lacie what are you doing?!" Asked LeAnn as she went back to her sister

"I forgot something!" Said Lacie as she looked around her room but as she was looking something fell to the ground making Lacie scream, it was a piece of wood with a little flame making the flame bigger

"Lacie!" Said LeAnn as she cried, rosella heard her daughter screaming

"LeAnn we don't have time for this! The fire getting strong!" Said rosella as she grabbed her daughters hand

"But what about Lacie? We can't leave her behind," said LeAnn

"I'm sorry honey but we're going to have to!" Said rosella

Meanwhile Lacie tried her best to get out of the room , as she was thinking the flame grew big making it impossible for Lacie to get out, after a while of trying she spotted a figure,

"Anne!" Said Lacie as she held out her arm, Anne took notice

"Lacie there you are come on grab my hand," said Anne as she tried to reach towards Lacies and when she did Lacie took annes hand while there was an empty spot on the floorboard of the room so Lacie jumped into the hallway.

After she got out of the room she hugged Anne

"You saved my life," said Lacie, after she said that Anne closed the door, this made Lacie confused

"Why are you closing the door?"

"Fire needs oxygen," said Anne as she grabbed Lacies hand and ran downstairs

"How do you know that?"

"Fire manual in the orphanage..."

Lacie looked at Anne weirdly

"There wasn't much to read at the asylum,"

Lacie shook her head, and when they reached outside, Diana ran over to the two girls

"There's Anne! And Lacie!" Said Diana as she smiled at the sight of Lacie

Lacie hugged Diana and after Diana came LeAnn and Jane

"Oh my goodness your ok!" Said jane as she hugged her best friend Lacie hugged back

"I thought you were dead," said LeAnn as she hugged her sister real tight

It was the next day and everyone was gathered at the house, LeAnn was holding Lacie tightly as the night before caused a traumatic experience for the young girl

"Alright it has been settled the Salem's will be billeted out," said Mrs Lynde

(Is that how you even spell that?😂😂)

"To the Andrews, and ourselves," said Mrs Lynde

"So that mean LeAnn and Lacie will be with the Andrews while peter and I will be with the Lynde's," said rosella "and thank you anne for saving my little Lacie, how can I ever repay you?" Asked rosella

"Maybe if you let me and Lacie hang out that would be great!" Said Anne, rosella nodded

"Sure what's the harm," smiled rosella "now you girls behave," said rosella as she hugged her two daughters

"We will mother," said LeAnn

"And LeAnn please watch over your sister,"

"She'll be fine there nothing to worry about rosella," said Mrs Andrews as she smiled "come along girls, and boy,"

After Mrs Andrews said that Lacie followed the group while looking back at her house, billy noticed her sudden movement.

"It will be fine Lacie I promise," said billy as he slung his arm around Lacies shoulder pulling her close

And also sorry for the long wait for an update, i just recently started my senior year and it's tough, and I just got my dance schedule and it's pretty hectic how since I have a senior solo and 3 classes to do but I'll try to update, ok bye
