A grumble erupted in Jess's stomach, making her manager whip his head towards her and laugh. Cory Walichs was a mousy guy who was a year older than her with cropped hair.
"Shut up, I haven't had anything to eat today," Jess rolled her eyes as she lazily flopped through the day's schedule.
"Not the smartest thing to do before an eight hour shift."
"That you assigned me." Jess quirked a brow when Cory looked back at her, shocked.
