she's always had a low constitution and was often in the hospital or at home during her childhood due to sickness. due to this, she never had many friends besides Hikaru, whose parents own the neighboring bakery, and Rune, who she knew in association with Hikaru. being unable to go out and play, she, Hikaru, and Rune would occupy their time listening to music while talking or playing with stuffed animals. Chiaki found comfort in the music and eventually started to play the piano. eventually, she started composing her own music to help others find comfort in music like she did.
