The Cryptic scream

The unexpected sound

It was a tiring day and Shaan was exhausted, he had worked all day on his life science project in the field and was realy tired. He was in his final year and was about to graduate in few months. He stayed in a hostel building which was multistoreyed. Shaan had finished his dinner and was feeling sleepy and his legs were aching, he started preparing his bed, his room mate had left to his house for a week and had informed that he would return next monday. After Shaan's bed was ready, he switched off the lights and slept,making himself cozy. He shut his eyes and slipped into sleep in few minutes. The night passed and it was 1 am. Since Shaan had consumed lot of water,he woke up and headed towards washroom, after washroom work on his way back to his bed, in an instant, he heard sound of a blender "wrrrrrrrrghh" and then it stopped. In order to investigate he decided to go to the hostel kitchen, from where he  heard the noise. He entered the kitchen with a torch,and it was dark and gloomy, and now it was silent. Since he found nothing he turned and started to come out, but suddenly from backside the blender started operating with a harsh sound "wrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhh". Perplexed and shaken by this Shaan turned back and pointed his torch light to the blender, but it had stopped and surprisingly it also was not connected to the power supply!!
