~NO POV~
Cat came home from school, "I'm hoooome".
She saw Sam asleep on the couch, she doesn't wake up that easy.
Cat shook her to wake her up, but it didn't work.
So she climbed on top of Sam and screamed "Wakey wakey sleepy head!"
Sam grabbed her and tackled her to the floor, pinning her down.
"Hey", cat says timidly.
"DONT WAKE ME UP LIKE THAT!"
"I'm sorry Sam I'm sorry"
She flinched, as if Sam was going to go mad at her.
Sam noticed this and let go of cat, but still sitting on her waist.
"You thought I would hurt you?"
She asks in a sad low voice.
She looks cat in the eyes, tilting her head waiting for a reply.
"Umm.... uh no, would you?".
Sam gets off of her and sits on the couch which cat follows, sitting next to her.
Sam stares at the floor upset.
"You really thought I'd hurt you..."
She puts her head in her hands.
Cat comforts her with a big hug.
"Sam... I trust you"
She takes her head out of her hands and looks at cat.
"Cat, I would never hurt you", she admits with tears in her eyes.
"I believe you Sam. I promise".
Sam smiles genuinely in return to express her belief.
"So, do you wanna watch a movie" cat asks with a giggle.
"Okay kiddo, but NO baby films or cartoons, got it?"
Cat sighs, "finee"
"Actually I'M gonna pick out the movie" Sam declares with a smirk and gets up to pick a movie.
"Oh god Sam please nothing scary"
"Can't promise".
Cat lets out a small squeak and sits in a ball on the couch.
Sam puts a dvd in the DVD player and turns it on.
"It's not scary is it?" Cat asks anxiously.
"Nah, don't worry kid".
She lets out a sigh of relief, "phew", and relaxes.

Towards the end, cat seems to get tired and lays on sam's legs, falling asleep.
Sam isn't the most intimate, sweet, loving person to exist. She doesn't usually like people. But cat is a little different to her. She finds her kind of comforting, like home. And she makes her happy, even when she's annoying she seems to find the pleasure within her to smile.

-

The movie finishes and cat is still asleep on Sam. So she has no choice but to carry her little red-headed friend to her bed.

She lays cat into bed and puts the blanket on her and makes her way to her own bed and falls asleep.

A couple hours later (2:30am)

Cat awakes, alert.
She begins to shake and cry.
"Sam... Sam... SAM!"

Eventually Sam wakes up to cat's scream of her name.
"Woah, cat!"
She rushes over to her and wraps her arms around the smaller girl. "It's okay kitty, I'm here, nothing's gonna hurt you"
Cat slowly calms at these words.
Her head rises from her hands and looks at Sam. "Did you have a nightmare?" Sam asks calmly, stroking cat's hair.
She nods.
Cat then rambles on about the strange events in her nightmare. Like murderous unicorns and giant killer robots.
Although Sam felt her nightmare was quite strange and ridiculous, she knew cat was very sensitive, just like a baby cat.
Anyway, the protective blonde listens on to cats odd nightmare.
"Sam... please can I sleep with you, I'm scared"
"Hmm, fine... but don't get used to it"
"Yayyy"
Cat crawls into sam's bed and almost immediately falls back asleep. Her roommates scent always seems to calm her down, and of course her bed was the place where her scent would always be.

Sam climbs in and falls asleep too.
