Your POV

You were making your way to the tube station with Jodie, Mandip and Laura. The Archeology museum had been interesting, it must have been so hard to be a scribe in Egyptian times because, not only do you have to be able to read and understand what the hieroglyphics, you would have to be good at drawing so that the people reading know what you mean. I know that I would be dreadful at that, I can't draw!

'Did you enjoy it?' The sound of Jodie's voice jerked me away from my thoughts.

'Yeah, it was cool, even though the rooms with the mummies were a bit creepy. Thanks for letting us tag along!' I replied.

Laura seconded my thanks.

'That's fine, it was fun to have some different perspectives about the artefacts.' Mandip said.

'How long are you staying in London?' I asked.

'We leave tomorrow morning so in total we will have been here 2 days and 3 nights,' Jodie told us, 'So where did you travel from today?'

'We live here in Euston,' I responded, 'Are you staying near Leicester Square?'

'Yep' Jodie answered. There was a slight pause as we continued walking before Jodie tentatively asked, 'do you want to swap numbers so that we can meet up again if we are in the same area again?'

No way! Jodie was asking for my number. I needed to stay calm. 'Yeah, sure' I told her as calmly as I could. By this point we had reached the tube station. We swapped phone numbers before bidding Jodie and Mandip farewell. I turned to Laura in excitement and exclaimed, 'Joint best day of my life!'

Jodie's POV

I couldn't stop thinking about y/n the whole journey back to the hotel. A couple of people came up to Mandip and I to ask for photos but apart from that it was a very normal journey.

Mandip interrupted my thoughts with a question, 'Have you ever given your personal number to a fan before?' I considered her question before replying that I had not. I guess that it was a bit out of the ordinary, an actor giving out their phone number to a fan but it felt so normal talking to y/n. She seemed really smart at the museum and it felt that we had known each other for longer than just 1 day.

'Earth to Jodie?' said a voice next to me. I realised that she had been asking me a question but I had been too wrapped up in my thoughts to hear. 'Yeah?' I said quickly.

'Do you know what is happening for dinner?' Mandip queried.

'Uuumm, I think we are going to China Town together as it is within walking distance of the hotel' I answered.

'Thanks'.

We had dinner in a Chinese restaurant which had two storeys. Our group took up the whole first floor. All of the cast and crew that took part in the filming in London was there so it was nice to get to know some of the people who don't normally work with us. I had a good time but the whole evening y/n was in the back of my mind, I couldn't work out what made her seem so different to other people.

Your POV

It had been a week since we said goodbye to Jodie and Mandip and I had been buzzing all week from the experience. At work I had finally managed to get my design ideas into a final design, I'm a product designer, so my boss was happy with me. I was on the bus on the way home when my phone beeped. I got it out expecting a message from Laura asking me to get something from the Londis on my way home but when I saw the name, my face lit up with joy - it was Jodie.

Hey, sorry I haven't been in contact sooner but I had a very busy week filming. I'm coming to London for a couple of days next week. Do you fancy getting coffee together on Wednesday? -J

I quickly started typing my response.

Hi, don't worry about not messaging sooner, I know you are a very busy person. I would love to get coffee on Wednesday but I have work so could we meet during my break? -y/n

I anxiously awaited her response. 2 minuted later I received her next message:

Thanks for the quick response! What time is your break? Also where do you work so that we could meet near there. -J

Just then we stopped at my stop, I grabbed my rucksack and jumped off the bus. I ran home, flopped on the sofa and started typing.

My break starts at 12pm and I work in Canary Wharf. Are you sure you don't mind coming? I don't mind meeting in a location more convenient for you. -fl/y/n

Nah, it's fine. I don't have anything else planned yet on Wednesday so I don't mind travelling a bit further. Also, you only have the time in your break so I am maximising the amount of time we can spend together. -J

She was really thoughtful. I thought back to all the interviews I had watched with her in them and she seemed, if it was possible, even nicer in person.

Awesome :) See you then. Thanks. -fl/y/n

I knew that sounded a bit weird but I didn't know how else to say it.

See you then :) -J

I hummed to myself happily as I started to prepare the pasta for dinner. Laura emerged from her room to see what the noise of the pans was for.

'Hello, you look happy. Tonight is my turn to cook so you don't have to if you don't want to.' She knew that I normally didn't enjoy cooking after work so was clearly surprised that I was doing it by choice on a night where I didn't have to.

'I am happy, Jodie has texted me and I don't mind cooking tonight. Don't worry, you don't have to change the cooking and takeaway rota, I'll do my part tomorrow too.'

'Thanks. She's actually going to meet up with you?' She asked me.

'Yup, next Wednesday. I can't wait.'

A/N So this chapter was more kind of building up this story so there wasn't much interaction between y/n and Jodie. Sorry it took so long, I kept getting distracted. I'm enjoying writing this story so I might just turn this into a full story. Thank you for the comments on the last chapter, they were very encouraging :)
