I help carry groceries inside Aidens house. I've always enjoyed spending time with Aiden and Kayla no matter where we are.
The pity in their eyes have died down but I wonder if they told jay and taylor. I start getting tired. I just want. a nap.
I walk up the porch steps with Aiden following behind me. I watch kayla open the door and walk in the house. I follow in after her.
Taylor looked annoyed. Her gaze meets mine and instantly sends a forced smile.
They sat on the opposite sides of the room. They are usually next to eachother.
I must have came in at a bad time.
Jay looks over and doesnt even try to look happy and Kaylas mood changed as soon as she walked in. I looked back at Aiden and I could tell he felt the same way I do.
The air was so thick I could cut it. It felt as if I was suffocating. Yet the tension was familiar.
It felt like my house. My house. I didnt say home for a reason.
I hated this feeling yet I was used to it.
I catch Taylor glaring at Kayla as she puts groceries away. I bite my lip. I was confused.
I walk through the livingroom to the kitchen to set the bags on the counter. I pull out the items and help put them away. I try to focus on my task.
"Kayla." Jay says stern voice. It was serious. I felt his voice shiver down my spine.
"Yes?" She was trying to act like everything was okay when it clearly wasnt. I can see the exhaustion in her face.
"Are you going to explain why shes here?" He points his finger at me. I try to act like it doesnt bother me. I keep my mouth shut.
Kayla looks at me then at him agian. Taylor joins in the glares.
Kayla turns around and enters a door. The door I remember being her and Jay's room. I bite my lip agian accept harder. She gave him and taylor a 'follow me' look.
Thet both raised from their seats and walked passed us. They didnt even glance at us.
Once the door closes, me and Aiden are left in silence. We look at eachother.
"Should I leave?" I ask him. He looks at me like I'm insane.
"No! Of course not!" He moves his hands to my shoulders.
"I just feel like this is my-"
"You really dont believe she couldn't push her off do you???" Jay's voice screamed through the wall, interrupting my sentence.
They were talking about me. I knew something would go wrong if I told her what was going on.
"It wasnt her fault!" Kayla continued. Tears started to rise in my eyes.
Aiden pulled me in and wrapped his arms around me. We both stared at the close door.
"Why did you bring her without even consulting us??" Taylor's voice rised over the other two.
I pull away and walk towards the front door. Aiden followed after me.
He grabbed my wrist. I turned around violently and wiped the tears from my eyes.
"Where are you going babe?"
"I'm leaving. I shouldnt have came in the first place." I pushed his hand away from my wrist but he didnt quit.
He wrapped his arms around my waist. I couldn't break free.
"I'm not letting you go until you are willing to hear some reason. I dont want you going off out of anger and getting hurt." He says.
After a moment I stop. Aiden sits down on the couch with me still in his arms. He places me on his lap and pulls me close to him.
I lay my head on his chest. I clench my stomach. I felt sick.
He pulled my arm slightly to look over my cuts. His tumb skims them slightly.
"Can you promise me something?" He ask me in a soft voice.
I nod.
"I want you to promise no matter how tough life gets or how bad things might seem...you will come talk to me and not do anything out of anger or sadness. Can you promise me that?"
"Yes. I promise." I close my eyes and focus on the here and now. The voices in the room die down.
I want to fast forward to the future. After all this pain and suffering. Where its just me and him.
