"You get to do the taste test." I said.

She immediately grabbed a fork and she took a small piece of the slice, and put it in her mouth.

"Mmmm so good." She licked her lips.

I smiled.

"Really? I only tasted the batter." I laughed.

"But this is my slice, get your own." She said, grabbing the plate from me and waking to the living room.

She immediately stopped in her tracks.

"What the fuck?" She said, her mouth full.

"I got you a little something." I said.

"There's like 15 presents!" She shouted excitedly.

"Yeah, and they're all from me!" I shouted back as I fixed myself a plate of cake.

She squealed loudly, probably waking the neighbors in the process.

"Did you get me what I wanted?" She asked excitedly, before I heard the quick pitter-patter of footsteps, then loud rustling of gift bags and light thumps of small boxes.

I walked to the living room, and then I looked at the counter, seeing a little box, which of course, will be the best for last.

"Did you?!" She asked.

I shrugged.

"Ugh."

For the next half hour, she was opening gifts, and then I grabbed the small box, and I gave it to her.

"Oh what is this?" She asked curiously.

"Open it and you'll see." I smiled.

She opened it, and she gasped, putting her hand over her mouth.

She looked at me and I smiled.

Her lip quivered as she whimpered a little bit.

"Kara." I said softly as I put my hand on her back, as I felt proud.

"Thank you." She said, wrapping her arms around me.

"Oh it's no problem really." I said, hugging her back.

"I have to repay you somehow." She said softly.

"Oh no, I'm repaying you, If it wasn't for you, I probably wouldn't have met Tom." I smiled as she pulled away.

She pulled a half heart necklace out of the box and she looked at me.

I gave her a reassuring smile and she put it on.

"Where's your side?" She asked.

I smiled as I reached into my shirt, pulling out my necklace, which happened to disappear into my shirt.

"This is the best birthday I've ever had, but I do feel a little lonesome." She said.

I smiled softly "Yeah, I know what you mean."

"But at least you have me." I smiled.

"And you have no idea how grateful I am to have you, and you probably have no idea how much you mean to me, so I'm just going to say it, y/n, you literally mean so much to me, because you are so loyal and caring, Tom is really lucky to have you." Kara said, wiping tears off her face.

I smiled widely, feeling like I was going to cry.

"Kara, do you mean that?" I asked.

She nodded.

I hugged her, and she hugged me back.

"I love you y/n." She whimpered softly.

I smiled softly.

"I love you too Kara."

"Kara, you are the most beautiful, loyal kindest person I've ever met, you deserve all of these presents, and you better keep them or else I'll feel bad." I said.

She giggled a little bit.

"Stop, I'm trying to cry." She giggled softly, wiping her tears.

I smiled widely as I felt like my heart was going to burst.

"I can't believe I got like- 20 presents-" She let a tear fall down.

"From one person." She continued.

"Kara, you deserve all of the presents, I mean, you did help me when I needed you most."

"If there is a couple that you don't like-"

"I don't like any, actually." She said, pursing her lips into a thin line.

"Really? Wow-"

"I love all of them." She smirked at me.

"Oh you fucker." I smirked at her.

She giggled as she covered her lips with her hand.

"But seriously, thank you y/n, I really appreciate it."

"Oh no problem Kara." I said, my smile wide.
