Hanging Out

I met up with Ajay and Renee. We decided to go shopping. They asked if they could bring a few friends and I was cool with it.

We left for the shops and waited at a park just outside of town to meet up with everyone.

Whilst waiting we played on a zip line. Like yes we are grown adults but we can also be children.

We were playing on the zip line when Octavio, Elliot and another guy came up to us.

"yuh ready to go?" Ajay was eager to go shopping and look around.

"sure thing amigo. I could use a good run" I looked over at Octane saying this and he wasn't even standing still in the slightest.

We left for the town, moving in and out of shops looking around for things we liked. We eventually hit a clothes shop. The guys weren't interested, and for once I wasn't really either.

Ajay and Renee dragged me inside and decided to pick out some outfits for me to try and see what I liked.

I was in there for like 15 minutes before I decided to buy everything and leave. I just wanted to be done I was so tired. I'll just try everything on and return stuff later.

I ran outside and waited with the guys. They were all talking and I just sat next to Octavio listening.

The conversation slowly died down and the other guy walked off on his own. Elliot and Octavio waved bye and carried on talking.

"hey guys"

"yeah amigo?"

"what's your friends name?"

"OH I AM MIRAGE THE GREAT AND STRONG!"  I face palmed so quick I practically hit myself in the face.

"no I mean the other one who is walking away"

"oh that's Crypto. He's not as great as me but a good guy" I sighed at how egotistical Elliot was but I quickly looked back around for Crypto.

I couldn't see him anywhere. But I wasn't just gunna go and randomly find someone who didn't know me and I barely knew him.

I decided to sit outside the shop waiting for the girls to emerge from it. It felt like ages before they finally came out.

Their hands were full of bags and they were wearing completely different clothes.

"You guys have your fun?"

"Yuh, picked up a few new outfits"

I looked in their arms. As if 10-20 bags full of clothes was a few. Obviously I didn't mention this. But I didn't think they were the type to want to shop.

We sat round at a table just outside of the shop and talked. I saw Crypto walking out of a nearby sweet shop. I called him over and he sat with everyone silently.

The conversation died down and left us with a bit of silence which felt awkward. I looked over to see Ajay and Octavio holding each other. And Renee and elliot holding each other.

I felt very much like a third wheel. I turned to see Ajay giving me *ThE lOoK*. You know the look your friends give u when they ship u with someone. That look.

I shook my head at her, sighing and smiling. She really had hopes for me that I'd find the one. Let's be honest though. The one. That doesn't exist. There's no perfect person and that's okay. She always just wanted the best for me.
