HE

My name is Jaime. I'm just a normal young adult who tries to be 'himself'. Growing up in a family that was homophobic is rough. I was born in Malaysia. At here same-sex marriage is illegal. When I was young, I thought that homosexuality is a fairy thing. I learned that same-sex is wrong and sinful. My parents would tell me that people who were homosexual are either confuse, lost, dumb, and sick. And I learned from school is that people who were homosexual will go straight to hell because it's a forbidden thing. Especially, when you're from a religious family. My parents are both religious, but uh- father left mother since I was five. And my life is the roughest one than yours. At least that what I thought. My life journey starts when I was fifteen. 

"Jaime, hurry you'll be late!" My mother called me. I spent the whole twenty minutes in a shower doing nothing just lay down there. I got up, and hopped out from the shower, brushed my teeth, and put on my uniform. "JAIME LEE" Mother yelled my name. "Coming!" I yelled. I packed my bag and rushed downstairs. "Why you always make me late? Why can't you be like Albert?" Albert is my older brother. He's older than me only a year. Let's say I never spoke to him because he's a pain in my arse. "I told you, he needs to learn to catch up a bus, mum," Albert spoke. "Albert, you finished breakfast?" Mother asked him in the softest way. Albert was the perfect child. Never got bad grades, always follow the household rules, and pretty great with messing with me. "Hurry, Jaime!" Mother said she scolded at me. I rolled my eyes and took out the cereal box. I grabbed a bowl and poured the milk. While I was prepared to eat the cereal, Albert elbowed the cereal box and it was all over the floor. "Jaime, you clumsy!" Albert blamed me. "Jaime, what have you done? It's early in the morning, Jaime! Clean it up and we're leaving!" Mother scolded at me. "Jerk" Albert sneered at me. Sometimes, I can't see why my mother loves him more than me. He's evil, brat, and whatnot. He's a scumbag to me. "JAIME" Mother yelled my name. I shake it off. And rushed out. 

When we've arrived at school, I asked mother for extra money, and it didn't go well than I expected. "Mother, I forgot to inform you that I need extra money. I'll be staying after school. I got an extra class." I informed to mother. "Mum, don't trust him. He just needs extra money so he can go out with his friends after school." Albert lied. I only glared at him. Insisted on the fact that I wanted to punch him on the face. I remained silent. This is the other reason I hate him so much! He loves to make up a story about me and loves to get me in trouble. That's why silence is the better way to keep your control. "Jaime, is that true?" Mother asked me. Dead in the eye. "It's alright. I'll use the balance money I have later." Before I got out of the car Albert said something to mum. "Mum, you can't give him what he wants. He needs to learn from his mistakes and earn it himself." Albert said and I get out of the car. 

The school wasn't pretty big at all. I mean a thousand students can be fit in. The school split into morning session and evening session. It was 6:55 AM and lots of students already fill the hall. Trust me it wasn't fit for a thousand students! And clearly this school had a new system because this system is overload. If you break the rules even the smallest one, you'll be expelled. Like I said this system is overload and this new system is trying to keep it up together which causes many students to start to rebel because of the new system. Small break rules will be suspended from school for a week or two. Then if you break a lot of rules you'll be expelled which causes around a hundred students being expelled and suspended. I saw someone sat in front of me and it was Liam. "Hey, Jaime!" My friend for five years greets me. "Hey, Liam." I greet him back not in a cheerful way like always but moody like Alastar Mad-Eye Moody. "What's the matter with a long face, mate?" Liam teased me which don't make me laughs or giggles or whatnot. He's from England but moved here because of followed his family. "Nothing at all, mate," I said put my head on my knees. "Twizzler?" He offered red twisted long candy. I took it and go on for a bite. "Your brother again?" He said guessed I thought so. "If it's not because of him who else?" I snapped at him. "Mate, tell me," Liam said. He patted on my shoulder. "He makes me missed my breakfast!" I said still remembered that whole incident. "Come over to my place today. Father just bought a new play station." Liam said in Luna Lovegood's way which is cheerful and dreamy. "I don't know if I can, mate. Guess I should go straight home." I said, remembered about what Albert had told mother. "Why? We always hung out all day. What's the matter with today?" Liam said, bummed. "Albert told mother that I'll sneak out to go out with friends," I said hated my brother. "This weekend we're going to Six Flags. Want to come?" Liam asked, elbowed me playfully. "Six Flags? Mate, that's in the US! Are you insane?" I asked in shock. "Not actually," He said spontaneously. My face dropped. "We're mad!" Liam giggles. "Oi, mate. I'm joking. Are you coming?" Liam elbowed me once again, playfully. 'Funny Liam, fʌni' I rolled my eyes but lost again when I look at his baby blue eyes always mesmerized. That dusty brown hair of his. Soft pink lips bet it was kissable- what Jaime stop. I remembered what he was talking about and continue with that topic. "Mate, I want it so bad. But, my mother would never let me go that far. Besides, that's across the world! No way she'll let me get away with murder just like that!" I said surprised and wanted it so badly but knew that I can't go with them. "If you ask, what if my parents ask? Parents can't say no to other parents because don't want to look bad in front of the others, can they? I'm sure your mother will say yes, no matter what. But who knows! I'll let my parents knew about this." He said cheerfully.
