It was a summer night, the clock read twelve-thirty, everything was quiet until the sirens of the police cars started and they were on their way to Mr. Moore's Farm, but let's start with the beginning.

Hi. I'm Emma and today I'm going back to the village where I was born. For the last fifteen years I've lived with my aunt Bella in New York. I'm coming back for the summer because I can't stay alone in such a big city. My mother is in a psychiatric hospital because my father's death. After he died she started to act very strange. One day she was crying the other she was laughing. She was telling me to come back when I'm older to find the truth, but I never did. I was too little to remember and my aunt said that she was having very big problems so I should never visit her and try to contact her. This happened when I was four years old and now I'm nineteen. Living with my aunt were one of the best times I ever had but something strange happened a year ago, after my eighteen-year-old party. She disappeared without leaving any sign, no farewell note... nothing. Since then I look for her every day after school, but school is over and I graduated so I stopped searching and decided to return to Surrey Maine, the place where I was born. This whole trip is due to my friends Christy and Maya.

It was Saturday and I started packing, I even rented Mary's house, one of my aunt's best friends.

One week later

It was Sunday evening and in the morning I had to leave to Surrey. I had a long way to go, about nine hours. I brushed my teeth and went to bed ready for an adventure. At one point, in the middle of the night, the phone began to vibrate. When I looked it was a call from an unknown number. I hung up and went back to sleep, but the phone didn't stop ringing. So I answered.

-Good evening, Miss Moore, I heard you're getting ready to go to Surrey...? Or should I actually said to go back, said a man with a deep voice.

-Who are you and why are you calling me at this hour?

-I'm nobody next to you, don't worry, I'll always be here.

Then he hung up, without saying another word. I went to check the door, and it was looked. I started to tremble just thinking about the fact that someone was following me and knew I was going to Surrey. I decided to cancel my departure one day without telling anyone.
The morning was slowly approaching , I could not sleep all night because of that call. All night but for the most of the day I sat and watched every person who passed on the street.
