Elvis's POV
Another restless night. A night of watching the clock tick, like a bomb almost, setting off in the morning, letting me know I Hey yo go to hell. "Hey sweetie wake up! Come eat!" Mom knocked on the door.

I sit on my bed, sigh, turn the lamp off, and walk to the door. I didn't want to go to school today. I saw my brother, Bran, eating some cereal. I decided to join him at the table.

"Good morning everyone." I yawn.

"Good morning!" Bran said looking up at me.

When I finish eating cereal, I sat in my room a little longer, sketching. Once I realized the time, I raced to get dressed and leave, but I was still late. Why didn't my mom tell me?!

"Elvis why are you late?!" The teacher said in a not so loud tone, smacking the ruler against her desk.

"S-sorry M-Miss Louz! I won't be late again!" I stutter.

"Sit down!" The teacher yelled.

At break time I got out my pen and notebook. I was planning on writing, but I just ended up writing another note to my "non-existent" father. I know he didn't die, I know he didn't! Mom doesn't like to talk about it and Bran constantly tells me that he died.

"I-if dad isn't really dead, I could still meet him! There's a small chance..." I whisper to myself, wiping my tears.

"Pfft, just look at him, always acting like a little kid! If he's going to whine and cry all the time, he should just go back to Kindergarten!" Somebody said trying to whisper to another person.

"H-hey, that's m-mean! D-don't say that about m-me!" I tried to step in. That's what dad would do, right? I didn't really know him, I just know he was a good man.

"Awww the wittle boy is gonna cry!" Somebody shouted pointing at me.

I took my notebook, and covered my face full of tears. The day finished and I sobbed all the way home. I ended up standing on the bridge deep in the woods, throwing stones in the bottom.

"Ugh! I'm such a stupid little baby..." I said, tears falling into the water.

I was just a little baby, but I had a reason too. None of them go through what I do. I sigh and put my legs through the metal hooks, throwing one last stone in before I heard somebody call after me. "Elvis?"

I look up to see this guy, Kodi Stone, walk up. "You're throwing my family is the water." He laughed.

I laughed with him, "Hi Kodi..."

"What's got you upset?" He asks, sitting by me.

"Just stupid kids saying stupid things, I'm getting better at not caring." I smile.

"Are you sure?" Kodi asked proceeding to sit next to me.

"Of course! I'll be going home now." I walk away.

" Okay... " Kodi waved.

"Elvis P. Williams where were you for all this time?!" Mom grabbed my shoulders, you worried me!

"Sorry mom. I understand I should've gone home as soon as school was over." I tap my foot.

"Welcome home Elvis!" Bran said.

"Thanks." I walk to my room.

"What's wrong with him?" Bran asked.

"I don't know sweetie. I'll talk with him." Mom said.
