Start from the beginning

Y/N smiled, and set the basket down by her bed, "Just some food for a picnic," she said, and crouched down by her bed. she then, pulled out a trunk full of blankets, she opened it up, and went in the search for the perfect one.

"I assume a picnic with Draco?" the bushy haired girl teased.

a blush crept up Y/N's cheek- because even though she and Draco have been together for quite some time now, the teasing still makes her blush, like they just got together yesterday, and really, Y/N was not complaining, not at all.

"The week has been very stressful with our NEWTs coming, and we haven't really spent time together properly, so i told him i'll make it up to him by setting up a picnic," Y/N said, going through the blankets.

Hermione smiled genuinely, and said, "Lucky you. Ron and I have been fighting, because he won't listen to me when I try to teach him things," she said, a frustrated groan leaving her lips

when Y/N finally managed to find the perfect blanket, she stood up, and stuffed the blanket inside the basket, she then, faced the bushy haired girl, "You'll make up soon, I'm sure of it. Ronald wouldn't last a very long time without you,"

at that, Hermione couldn't help but laugh, "I guess," she said, then saw Y/N pick up the basket, "I shouldn't keep you, you should set your picnic up,"

Y/N smiled apologetically, and walked towards the door, "We can talk more when i get back!" she said, and finally walked out of the dorm room.

Draco walked by the courtyard, it was empty, because everyone was either in the library, or in the Great Hall already- seeing that it was almost dinner.

he looked around, a sigh leaving his lips when he walked past the spot where everything went downhill, he wanted to forget that, but he really couldn't. but for some reason, he really felt like he needed to forgive Blaise, and just understand him.

because unlike Draco, Blaise's mother wasn't the best, she married plenty of times, and probably dated loads of guys. and because Zabini's mother was occupied with men, she never really spent that many time with her son. so, Draco really wanted to understand him.

but shrugging off the thought of Blaise, the blonde continued on walking, finally stopping by the black lake.

a smile crept up his face, when he saw Y/N sitting down on the blanket on the ground, and he also saw plenty of food, too, which was another reason he smiled; he's a bit hungry.

Draco walked towards the blanket, catching Y/N's attention, "I'm glad you could make it,"

"Well i can't pass up an opportunity to have a picnic with you, can I?" the blonde teased, making the girl chuckle slightly.

they started eating the sandwiches, they really were good, especially the conversation that went with it. Draco missed this, when they would just catch up, and laugh, and just be overall happy with eachother.

it wasn't long until they finished all the food, the sun was starting to set, and yet they were still laughing, talking about random topics.

Y/N looked at the waters, she watched as the sun went down, a small smile plastered on her face. she thinks the nature of the world is absolutely beautiful, it's just sad that not everyone appreciates it.

"Look at the sun, pretty, don't you think?" said the Gryffindor absentmindedly

Draco stared at her in awe, as she stared at the sun, "Very pretty, indeed,"

the girl looked at him, catching his gaze. she felt her cheeks slightly heat up, making her look down, and clear her throat awkwardly.

the blonde then, remembered, and just blurt out the words without thinking, "Blaise apologized, by the way,"

at that, Y/N looked at him, her once smile now gone, "What?" she said, confused, "What.. what did you say?" the girl asked, nervousness in her voice, as if she didn't want to know the answer.

Draco just the realized what he had said- and he regrets to say that there's no turning back now. he needed to tell her eventually, anyways, right?

with a quiet sigh, the blonde gave Y/N a small smile and said, "I forgave him,"

silence. that was all the girl could hear after those words fell out of her lover's mouth. she can't believe it- after everything Blaise did.

"You forgave him.." A scoff left Y/N's lips, as she shook her head in disbelief, "After everything he did, you just forgave him like that?"

Draco sighed, " He messed up, I know-"

"Messed up is an understatement!" the girl exclaimed.

the blonde frowned, "Alright! he did things we both know isn't worth forgetting to forgive, but he used to be my bestfriend.." Draco trailed off, "And I know he's better than that,"

Y/N let out a huff, and started packing away, putting everything in the picnic basket, "And I thought you were better," was her last words, before she started ignoring Draco.

the blonde knew he ruined the picnic- or I guess not just that. this picnic was supposed to be fun, and all happy.

but it just turned into something that's gonna last for quite some time.

a storm is coming, but this time, it's going to be stronger, It's only a matter of time before something major happens, all we can do is hope that both Draco and Y/N are ready- because if not,

this might not end well.
