at first i didn't recognize you

i start panicking and my heart was beating fast
you didn't see me
i did see you
you were over me
and that hurt so bad
i kept walking down the street picturing you with me
i'm not ready to let you go
but as i try to close the door it's already late to make you stop
you cross the street and walk behind me
my heart was beating faster
i felt you touching my arm
i didn't want to look back
and as in a dream everything disappears
i can't see you anymore
my eyes are open and everything is black
i was just dreaming about you
as i always do
