It was a normal day in Worcestershire. Alexa was washing the dishes and her parents had gone out on a business trip and wouldn't be back for three weeks so she has the house to herself. Where most teenagers would love for the opportunity to be home alone. Alexa did not. She hated it. She hated it more than her fear of spiders.

It got to 9pm. 𝐾𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑘! 𝐾𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑘! 𝐾𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑘! she was shaking. Her hairs stood up on end on her arms and legs. Tingles up and down her back. She was trembling with fear.

𝐾𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑘! 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑘! 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑘! She stumbled over to the window but no one was there. Her palms became clammy. Her feet where like blocks of concrete. Stood in her tracks. Motionless.

When Alexa finally came back to reality the only thing she had to protect herself with was a single coat hanger. She slowly picked up the coat hanger and walked over to her bedroom door. As she reaches for the handle 𝐾𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑘! 𝐾𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑘! 𝐾𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑘! She halts. Pulling her hand away a large creak comes from the downstairs kitchen.
