I started this story years ago but could not complete it, simply because... Maybe I was not ready to. This story has resided rent-free in the back of my head since forever now.
To all those who read the original, not even close to complete version, I apologize. If someday, you do manage to find this again, I'd be the happiest person, I swear.

Colours are probably one of the best things about life. They make life cheerful and slightly more interesting.
What if... The world was colourless. If there was only black and only white. Oh, and maybe too many shades of grey.
What if... Seeing colours was a achievement. A medal of honour. A proof, that you lived. That you loved.
People say love brings colours to your life. What if, it actually does?
Set in an alternate universe where nobody is receptive to colours until they meet and fall in love with their soulmate, The Indelible Hues follows the journey of six individuals, the journey of them finding love.
Your soulmate doesn't gurantee true love. You can find love in someone who isn't your soulmate as well. It is all about how you let someone affect you, and how someone affects youanyway.
Want it or not, love will happen. In the weirdest ways at the most wrong of times.
But, do not let these colours blind you, find love where you want to.

The story has three 'phases', each dealing with one couple. Beginning with ShivIka it will gradually shift it's focus to RiKara and then grow into RuMya. Keeping it clear that Anika followed by Gauri are the main protagonists, Shivaay, Om, Rudra and Saumya following interchangeably. So the storyline will focus on Anika and Gauri at all times.
