Everyone needs a reason to live, to breathe, and to love. The beginning of adulthood for young Ashley was going great. Ashley never believed anything traumatic could happen to her because she had everything she thought she needed right in front of her. She had the D1 scholarships to play all around the country, the perfect grades, she had it all in her eyes. Her goal was to graduated high school, play college softball, and get a degree in law, just like her mother. It was graduation year and everything was set for her. Senior year flew by, she got to make new friends, set new records in softball, and graduated with honors. Nothing could get in young Ashley's way of accomplishing her dreams, and what she thought was her purpose. Little did she know in the month of August her whole life would shift and would never be the same again. What she thought made her happy, no longer put a smile on her face. She had to learn how to adapt/cope with this life changing experience.
