Chapter 2:

She awoke the next morning, an arm wrapped tightly around her slim waist and as once would expect, she freaked. Leaping to her feet with a shattering scream, she stumbled backwards and hit the wall beside the bed, sliding down it and stared at the boy with wide, startled orbs.

Dider woke and sat up quickly, sleep filled eyes dancing across the room before landing upon her still, whimpering form.

“Celia?” he whispered, clambering out of the bed and rushing to her side, pulling her petite form into a tight, comforting hug “what’s wrong? Are you hurt?” He fired off the questions quickly, worried deeply about her. Slowly her breathing slowed, calming down and she looked up at him from his chest, trying to remember the before days events and how she had ended up here.

“I’m....” she inhaled deeply “I’m okay; you just startled me...that’s all.”

He sighed with relief and gave her a sweet, tender kiss.

“Sorry...” he whispered, wrapping an arm around her slender shoulders and she snuggled into his touch, leaning into his as a smile played upon her lips.

“It’s okay,” she whispered, not wanting him to feel bad for scaring her. Her thoughts drifted back to the before day, finally able to remember all the events which had happened and pulled slowly away from Dider, studying him.

She had told him! Everything. He had poured his soul to her, and she had yelled at him in reply. A humourless chuckle left her, it seemed someone was even more stubborn then her if possible.

“I love you,” he told her suddenly, words so filled with honesty that it made tears come to her eyes. And as much as she wanted to say it back, so not to hurt his feelings and just to let him know, she couldn’t form the words. Dider, guessing to what her worried expression and what she was thinking about, felt bad for putting her on the spot like that. He meant it, every fiber in his body meant it.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered, startled to see tears in her beautiful green eyes “I didn’t mean to...” he carried off, halted by the look on her face.

She smiled, the purest smile that had ever graced her full lips and kissed him lightly before gently brushing the tears from her pallid cheeks.

“It’s okay,” she told him, smoothing his cheek with her petite hand “I’m just not....”

She sighed, unsure how to finish.

“In love with me?” he supplied, hurt flashing though his grey orbs.

“No,” she said quickly “I was going to say that I...I wasn’t ready yet...”

His heart leapt slightly, plans forming in his mind. She had said yet, maybe there was a chance for him after all. Lifting a hand and gently tucking a piece of brown hair behind her ear, he brushed his lips against her flushed cheek.

“Then I shall wait, for whenever that time may be...if it shall ever come...I will wait for you,” he told her gently, taking care not to allow the pain he felt at the words he spoke ever so softly. She smiled, and he was glad at his choice, and rested her head against his shirt-less chest.

“Thank you,” she breathed “for understanding what no one else can...”

“My pleasure.”

His soft gaze dropped towards hers and without a thought, his head followed. His lips, pink and full of colour touched hers. Celia breathed in his musky scent, feeling more than seeing his movement. She held her breath, waiting for his touch to make her melt once more. To make her feel wanted, to feel like she wasn’t alone.

She loved him, oh god she did. She had since he had first stepped into her life, but she had never had the guts to tell him nor show it. And now he, Dider, was declaring his love for her...and she couldn’t even whisper it in return.

She knew she had hurt him, her words from the day before and her unfinished sentences. And yes she was greedy enough to ask something from him. The one thing that would make her forever hers. She knew he would never be able to leave her if he said yes to her selfish request.

She needed something to love. She needed someone to burry with affection, someone who would love her no matter what.

This was the only thing she wanted in this world. She wanted a child. A baby to give her name to.

His lips met with hers, locking tightly and yet gently with hers. She had a fleeting daring thought, maybe she should just let this go on, let it carry onwards and then announce she was pregnant. She hoped she would be.

No, she couldn’t do that to him, it was wrong. But the thought was still somewhat tempting.

“Dider,” she breathed, forcing herself to pull away slightly but kept her forehead tightly pressed against his. Noting that her position had changed, she was now in his lap and facing his chest, she sighed and inhaled deeply before continuing in a shaking voice.

“There is something I wanted to ask you....” she whispered, trying to calm her racing heart.

“Anything love,” he murmured, smoothing her cheek with his fingers and smile, glad to see her accepting his gentle touches.

She paused, taking his free hand and resting it to her stomach lightly. He looked at her with a slight frown, confused and wondering what she was going on about.

“Are you...pregnant?” he asked finally, unable to think of anything else the gesture would mean.

She quickly shook her head, looking away from his handsome face and studied the patterned carpet, unable to meet his caring, confused gaze.

“No...not yet...” she whispered finally, hoping he would get the hint.

He didn’t. The frown deepened as he studied her, trying to piece her words together and force sense from them.

“I’m sorry Celia, I still don’t understand,” he told her gently, lifting her chin so that there gazes met once more.

“I need....something to love.”

He nodded, following her so far.

“I want,” she swallowed “a child.”

She whispered the words so quietly that he barely heard them, but soon as they left her they made sense. IT was all too clear now, and he scolded himself for not seeing her request sooner.

“And I want you to be the father...” she continued, thinking he still didn’t understand from his silence.

“Yes.”

“I understand if you don’t want to be...I guess I can...wait what?” she cut herself off quickly at his calm, even words.

“I said yes.”
