When Jeno walked into the classroom that day, he was met with a room filled with excited whispers and conversation.

He blinked. Normally, his classroom would practically be half dead at the start of the day. No one ever had energy during the early mornings.

But today was very different. His classmates were actually talking to each other. Jeno didn't remember a single time that his class was actually lively during the early hours.

"What's going on?" He asked as he slid down into his usual spot right next to Jaemin and Donghyuck.

"You don't know? There's a new kid coming today," Donghyuck replied eagerly.

Jeno didn't know. Maybe it was because he had stayed up all night playing games. Someone had probably told him, he just didn't remember as his mind was in a very sleep deprived state as of right now.

"Yeah. He's in our grade," Jaemin continued, "only like two people have seen him, but almost our whole school is already head over heels for him."

"Really?" Jeno asked. It did seem as though everyone was happier than usual.

Before either of his friends had the chance to answer, their teacher walked in and slammed a hand on to the desk to get everyone's attention. Gradually, the class quieted down and turned to face the front of the classroom.

"Good morning class. As you may already know, we have a new student coming today."

As if on cue, a knock sounded and the door opened, revealing the school's principal and a petite looking boy. He poked his head through before walking into the classroom.

Jeno's jaw almost dropped when he walked in. There was no way he wasn't the prettiest boy Jeno had ever seen. His hair was a beautiful shade of silver that seemed majestic, in a way. He wore a black bomber jacket adorned with small sparkles and black jeans that fitted him perfectly.

The way he walked looked as if he was gliding. The boy was the definition of delicate, and Jeno could tell that he wasn't the only one who thought so.

"Would you like to introduce yourself?" the teacher asked.

"No."

Even his voice was beautiful. Jeno was too distracted to notice what the boy had just said.

The teacher seemed slightly taken aback, but put on a smile nonetheless. "Well then, everyone this is Renjun. He will be joining our school so I expect you all to take good care of him."

Renjun gave a slightly uninterested wave.

"You may sit down now. Find any spot you would like," the teacher said, pointing towards the various vacant desks.

Renjun nodded and walked towards the empty seats. The eyes of the whole class followed him as he made his way to a desk at the very back corner of the classroom, right next to the window.

A part of Jeno had hoped he would sit down next to him, but of course, that didn't happen.

Jeno sighed. Renjun was sitting at the complete opposite side of the room.

"Alright, now let's start on today's lesson," the teacher started.

Jeno zoned out almost immediately. His attention was turned to where the silver haired boy sat. A number of his classmates had already started passing him notes in an attempt to get his attention. Renjun didn't make any effort to respond though, only smiling and going back to doodling in his sketchbook.

He wasn't the only one who couldn't take his eyes off the boy. It seemed as though getting his attention would be much harder than he had expected.

"Come on! We have to get there quickly, Renjun is going to be taken away by our competitors!" Donghyuck said as he pulled Jeno along. Jaemin was already far ahead of them.

"Competitors?" Jeno thought out loud.

"Yes competitors! Everyone is trying to get Renjun to sit with them and if we don't hurry, he's going to be taken!"

"But he's not an object, why are we fighting over him?" Jeno asked.

Donghyuck rolled his eyes, and just pulled him faster in order to catch up with Jaemin.

There was a line— a literal line to where Renjun was sitting in the cafeteria.

"Are you sure that we should—"

Donghyuck gave him a look and Jeno finally decided to shut up. It wasn't that Jeno didn't want to see Renjun. After all, the boy was undoubtedly the most beautiful being on the planet, Jeno enjoyed observing people from afar though. Confronting the person he liked was not necessarily his strong suit.

Not that he would actually have a chance with Renjun of course. The whole school– no exaggeration– was in love with him.

Jeno was just one out of the several hundred students at his school.

But Jeno never even got to try his hand at talking to Renjun because he was snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of Renjun hurriedly getting up from his spot in the cafeteria. Half eaten meal still left on the table, the boy quickly shoved all of his belongings into his black bag.

Swinging it over one shoulder, Renjun started to walk past the long line of students waiting. Just like that morning, every pair of eyes followed him, but Renjun didn't turn his head to meet the eyes of even a single one of them.

Jeno could've sworn he saw blue electricity spark at Renjun's fingertips but he knew his mind was playing tricks on him.

Renjun quickly made his way out of the cafeteria, fast, graceful strides leading him out the front doors and out of sight.

"He's amazing," he heard Jaemin whisper from beside him.

"Yes he is," Jeno agreed. Renjun was amazing, but there was something mysteriously enchanting about him that Jeno just couldn't quite put a finger on.
