Watching the encounter between the explosive blond and a tired looking house tenant brought a slight smile to the teen's face. He had always adored the protective nature of his dear friend, and after their rough childhood, the childhood that had him stuck in this, uh, predicament, the blond had mellowed out. It was no secret that the blond might not remember the curly haired boy, he was nothing special, he was really quite plain. Forest colored locks framed his ghostly pale freckled skin, his natural complexion faded to an almost white. Long gone the days of the deep tan he had once held. Dressed in a simple maroon shirt and ripped light denim jeans, his bright red sneakers still on his dangling feet as he looked from the top branch of a tree, through the glass window.
"Are, are you sure no one named Midoriya Izuku is anywhere on this residence?"
"Quite sure sir, the last time a midoriya lived here was years ago, and they moved out only a month or two into their contract."
A mumbled curse could be barely heard out the window, but it brought a slight chuckle out of the greenette's lips. Lithely slipping out of the tree, Izuku silently sprinted to the looming tree line behind the estate. Slipping unnoticed onto a hiking trail leading to his current, somewhat of a residence.
"Izuku?"
"Hey Toshi, you need anything?"
"Not really, where were you? I woke up and you weren't outside or in your bed..."
"Kacchan is here."
"Izuku...you, you didn't..."
"No, toshi, im not that dumb."
The purple haired insomniac smiled at his best friend, worry lacing his gaze, but the anxiousness had faded slightly.
"You miss him, don't you?"
"He was looking for me. I don't really know how to, uh, talk to him, or even get his attention... part of the curse, y'know?"
"Izu..."
"I'll be fine, Toshi, really. I doubt he'll even walk out to the forest, it isn't like him. He always preferred more open places, and were quite far off the trail anyway."
"You still need to be careful izuku, if he sees you, you don't know how much he could remember, he might, might remember you."
"I wish i could be remembered, but you didn't break the curse, so i don't know if he'll be able to either toshi..."
"Izu, come mere..."
Izuku gets cradled in the arms of his best friend, a few stray tears slip, but after years of the recurring instances, the fear of being forgotten dwindles slightly. Toshi could remember him, but he had a similar curse, his stakes were just lower. Upon thinking of this, Toshi inspected his fading fingertips, shooting him a questioning gaze.
"It doesn't hurt, toshi, just slightly numb." he hears shinso mutter a response, seemingly grumpy, but with concern behind his eyes. As izuku gets up from hitoshi's grasp he walks over to his small garden, looking at his herbs for a decent combination to make tea, as he turns to ask hitoshi what type he wants, he hears the snapping of a twig, but before he could turn around
"Deku?"
