Ghost Spider and the Spider-man

Field Trip

Mary Jane woke to an alarm with slight confusion as to where she was until she remembered what happened last night. She walked downstairs to the door before May stopped her. May is fairly young just like Ben. She has pale skin with chestnut brown hair and ocean blue eyes.

"Leaving already?" She asks with a smile. "I just made pancakes."

Mary Jane then began to think of arguing, but knew that May wouldn't let her. So she walked over with a small smile. Next door Carter was up getting dressed for the field trip. He put on a black leather jacket over a white T-shirt, and jeans. From there he put on steel toe boots and walked out. Over at Gwens house, she was packing some sandwiches knowing that Carter would forget to eat. Lastly Ned and Harry were getting ready. The two had spent the night at Osborn manor trying to catch up on there Physics homework. The two would likely need Gwen or Peter to help them correct it, but they gave their best effort. A few hours later and the group was together in a school bus on there way to Osborn Industries lab.

"So, Harry." Carter says gaining his friends attention. "Any ideas to what we can expect?" At this Harry laughed a bit.

"No, no, I've never been inside." He claims earning a gasp from Gwen.

"Your telling me this is your first time?" She asks causing Peter to snicker.

"Yeah. Dads been pretty strict on keeping me away from the labs."

"Why?" Ned asks. "If I had super awesome labs, I would absolutely let my son check them out."

"Ned you don't have a son." Mary Jane quickly jumps in.

"I know! I'm just saying, IF I had a son."

From there the group had a couple laughs and a few debates, but that ended once the bus arrived at the lab. The class was following as the teacher and tour guide show off the lab. Eventually they get to a bunch of glass boxes with spiders in them.

"These here are the labs newest creation." The tour guide says gesturing to the spiders. Mary Jane walked up to the cages excitedly with Peter following closely behind. At that sight Harry, Ned, Gwen, and Carter share a knowing look. "They are our 24 genetically engineered 'super spiders'. They were made to be a way to create super soldiers such as our famous fallen war hero Captain America, but ultimately they were labeled as a failure."

"22" Mary Jane says getting the guides attention with a hum.

"Two of them are missing." Peter states observantly. Unknown to everyone in the room one of the spiders was on the floor and crawled onto Carters boot.

"Huh, I- guess they must have taken them in the back for testing." The Guide assures. Not knowing that the second was using a web to climb down just above an unsuspecting Gwen. "Anyways, if you'll follow me, we will see Otto Octavius and his work with nuclear fusion"

They rest of the students aside from the Group followed. "Alright you two," Carter says getting Peter and Mary Jane to look over. "We need too-" Carter was interrupted by a pain in his leg, giving a yelp of pain.

"Carter are you alright?" Gwen asks worryingly not aware of the spider on her shoulder crawling up her neck. "Carter what-" Gwen gives a yelp also as the spider sunk its teeth into her neck. In a quick reaction she slapped her neck effectively killing the spider. Carter notices his spider crawling off his boot onto the ground and gains a look of realization.

"Are you two okay?" Harry asks. Ned walks over noticing Carters gaze and followed it to see the spider.

"OH MY GOD!" He shouts before Carter puts he hand up shushing him.

"I know." Carter says. "Let's just ask the tour guide hypothetical question. Find out if it's dangerous." This earns a nod from Ned and a confused look from, Harry, Peter, and Mary Jane. Cater walks over to them and gestures for them to come closer. "I've been bit by one of those spiders.

"So was I." Gwen adds. The three had looks of horror upon their faces.

"Hey Carter the thing just died." Ned says.

"Well, crush it and let's go, we're falling behind." Carter says. Ned listens.

"Hey Carter, are you sure you two shouldn't see a doctor?" Peter asks.

"Not at all. Ned?"

"Yeah?" Ned asks.

"Could you explain my plan to them?" Carter asks.

"Oh! Yeah you got it."

The group then hurry's up to catch up to their piers. Once they do no one seems to notice. Eventually they had come to the end.

"Now, dose anyone have any questions?" The guide asks. Carter raises his hand and the Guide nods to him.

"So those spiders. You said they were a failure back there. Was it because their dangerous?"

"Oh, that's an excellent question." The Guide says. "They are harmless, however that is because the serum that they had inside did nothing to the candidates that volunteered." That seemed to ease Carters fears as well as Gwens, but the others in the group still had a bit of worry.

All of them knew that Carter didn't want to see a doctor as he had always hated that thanks to his mother. And Gwen was doing the same but because she didn't want her father worrying about her with everything that he has been dealing with recently. After the field trip the group go there separate ways.

When Gwen gets home she notices that she has a massive headache. Not again. She thinks, believing it was another migraine. She had been having them all year so it didn't surprise her much. Dads working late again. She thought nothing her fathers absence. She then walks upstairs and collapses on her bed.

Carter however was back on his way to the fighting ring. Once he gets there he is set up with a fight from a man named Flint Marco. He had started to get a headache but decided to push through it.

"Here we are folks! Your new champion CARTER COLE!!!" Says the Announcer getting a mass of cheers in response. "Vs newcomer FLINT MACRO!!!" The Announcer cheers, completely mispronouncing the mans last name. It seemed to irritate the guy but he didn't say anything.

"3, 2, 1. BEGIN!"

Flint and Carter circle each other for a moment, arms raised. Flint makes a move carefully stepping forward and striking with a forward punch, but Carter dodges and counters with an uppercut landing it. Flint isn't out yet though and quickly moves back and giving a flurry of punches. Carter was barely able to keep up, but got hit when Flint kneed him in the ribs. Following up on that Flint socks Carter in the face knocking him to the ground. With a bloodied nose Carter gets back up and readies himself. He then has to dodge two punches and another knee, but he manages to counter with another uppercut, knocking Flint out cold.

"3, 2, 1, HE'S OUT!" The ref announces. The crowd was cheering as a chant started.

"CARTER COLE! CARTER COLE! CARTER COLE!"

After grabbing his money, and getting patched Carter heads back home. Once he gets there he is barely able to stand. His head is throbbing his heart pounding. He was drenched in sweat and felt like he should have collapsed minutes ago. He manages to get to his room but passes out on the floor.

Gwen and Carter both spent the night tossing and turning. Shivering as if cold, the two would never guess what was to come in the next few weeks.
