{♡ Chapter.three: Ushijima ♡}

Start from the beginning

The way her strands were tucked in behind her ear, the way her bag slumped onto her back, and the way how she was intensely staring at something. I then decided to look at what she had her gaze set on, and saw that it...was the food. I found it quite entertaining how determined she looked at the dish. I'm pretty sure that she wasn't starving, but it sure did look like she was. She was guarding the dish with her mere eyesight as she stood in front of me as I chuckled a tad.

'That's weird...I don't usually laugh. What did she even do for me to feel this way. Hmmm, I always thought that girls were always peculiar. Especially that bunch that try to follow me around everyday. What did Tendou call them, ah right, Fangirls.' I thought to myself not leaving my gaze.

Right before I could offer it to her, she came and swooped in not even giving me the chance to speak. During the process of her doing so, I then saw something that clung onto her wrist. It looked like it was going along swiftly with her movements as she scurried to grab the meal. I then stared at the red piece of material for a bit longer to then feel a warm presence embrace me. It felt as if I had felt that...from a long time ago...now, why was that?

Anyways, before I could ask her anything, I remembered what she had just did and raised my voice.

"Hey," I didn't yell, but I felt quite offended knowing that I could've nicely offered it instead of her swooping in, and clinging onto it like her life depends on it.

She then stopped and stared at me for a couple of seconds. I was about to explain myself to her before my watch went off. I was going to be late if I didn't sprint out of there, so I decided to do so and ran out of the store as fast as I could.

《Y/n P.O V》

"Uh-Wait come back here!" I shrieked as he ran away from me.

Maybe there was something happening to him? Feeling a bit anxious, I made sure to run to the counter as fast as I could so that I could pay for the hot lunch. The cashier looked at me quite oddly as I started to pant a little.

"H-how much i-is it?"

"Um, $7.50 ma'a-"

"Keep the change!"

I then chucked a 10 dollar bill to her and decided to sprint my way out of there. Looking left and right trying to see where Ushijima had ran off to. Luckily for me, he was waiting at a bus stop only a couple of meters away. I sighed in relief knowing that he looked fine and decided to look down at the lunch. I then pulled out a marker and decided to scribble on the container.

After fooling around with my magic marker, I walked up to Ushijima who stood there peacefully. I tapped his shoulder and his body stiffened as I did so. Not thinking anything was wrong, I then bowed down to him while holding my lunch out.

"Is this a confession-"

"No, I just wanted to say sorry for what happened back there. Here, I paid for it already so you don't need to worry about anything."

"I really don't need it-"

"TAKE IT!" I then shoved it to him and made sure he wouldn't be able to give it back to me.

"I-thanks." He chuckled while trying to cover his mouth.

I had never seen this side of Ushijima in the manga. He seemed so stiff and had a serious aura inside of volleyball, you could see the determination that always seemed to burn in his eyes that gave him an even more intense feeling. Not only that, but he was quite blunt and dense. Because of that, us as readers have never really gotten to know this side of him. He looked so adorable as he tried covering up his expressions. My cheeks flushed a little red as his eyes closed trying to contain his laughter.
