《Sorry if Wattpad fricked up my book cover. ;-;》
"(Y/n), come sit beside me."
"Is it story time Daddy?" You smiled with your little chubby cheeks. You were excited to hear the majestic tales your dad had to offer you before bed time.
"Yup, so you better sit beside me before the monsters gobble you up!" He chuckled as you scurried with your two, little, stubby legs.
You were about five at this time when you father was going to tell you about a story that changed your perspective in a way. A legend that had clung onto your family's name for centuries by now.
This piece of heritage was going to blow your mind for a child, and still did even in your teenage years (well...in a different way). You remembered about how he explained it in such detail but yet, you were still able to understand for someone so young.
"Hehe okay settle down (Y/n). This is a story about one of your great, great, great, great, great, great(×100) grandparent," You laughed at his gesture making him crack a smile.
"Okay, so here we go."
"There's a legend, a legend of how three of the bestest friends were linked together by the string of fate. Each and everyone of them had a third of the string wrapped around themselves to show how close they were. But keep in mind, this was no ordinary string.
Depending on how strong your bonds were, that would conclude the reward you would get as a group. Since their bonds were so strong, they were given the ability to travel in between different dimensions, and were able to see many different places. The only problem with this though was that once you traveled to that place, you could only stay once and leave once. Once you decided to leave that place, you couldn't go back.
One day, one of the three had realized that they grew a deep connection with one of the people there. It wasn't anything romantic but they were very close to each other. Their friends wanted to leave and they were set to go until they realized that they would be leaving someone they cherished.
Before they could say anything though, they had already teleported to somewhere else. That person then decided to tell their friends how they felt it was wrong to travel back and forth in between places, because they were being reckless about how the people over there felt.
Of course, their friends disagreed with what they had to say, and that ended up into them fighting and having conflict. So the night after their talk when they were supposed to be sleeping, that one person decided to teleport into a different place and immediately hid their string so their friends couldn't come after them.
They say that the string still lurks somewhere in the lake of Yamoto and has never been found ever since that day."
You looked so entranced when it came to this story. Traveling into different places with the snap of a finger?, that sounded so cool to you being the five year old you were. Your mom then came over and pinched your dad's arm as he yelped in pain.
"OWW! Hun what was that for?"
"You shouldn't be telling (Y/n) about these stories. They're not real anyways," She sighed tucking you in.
"You never know, what if (Y/n) ends up finding it one day!" Your mom then shook her head and grabbed your father's arm as she walked out.
"Good night (Y/n)."
"Goodnight Mommy and Daddy." You then sunk into bed falling asleep withing seconds after the door shut behind you.
