Gelato

Today's the day that I'm taking a break. I'm so glad I got reunited with my father a few days ago, but this time I think I should bring my friend Dog Man and Li'l Petey for a fun time.

For Dog Man, he turned me into a prisoner when I was a villain, and now my son, Li'l Petey helped me becoming a good person. This time I was very happy because of them – they're my good friends. I felt like Dog Man is now my brother too.

That morning I decided to visit Dog Man's house. All I see was my son – he was inside the house alone, reading his favorite book, The Cute Little Squirrel with his robot friend 80-HD.

"Kid," I smiled. "Have you seen Dog Man?"

"He's at work, Papa." Li'l Petey said. "He's in a police duty. Why?"

"I'm bringing you outside for some gelato. It's your favorite!" I said. "Then we're going straight to the Police Station. Dog Man needs a break too."

"Yay!" He jumped excitingly.

I grabbed the phone from my bag and texted Dog Man.

"Hey it's Petey. I'm at your house with my son. Would you mind if I'm going to bring some gelato for the three of us?"

I heard a ringtone, but I was shocked that DOG MAN FORGOT TO BRING HIS PHONE! I sent a message to another phone near me! I went to call Chief again, and there was no signal to communicate because of cellular problems. But yes, I think it's time for us to leave the house and bring his phone.

"Would you hold Dog Man's phone for you? He forgot to bring his phone."

"Oh, I didn't know that. I was still sleepy when Dog Man left the house." Li'l Petey told me. "I also didn't notice why he didn't get his phone before he leaves. I guess he really needs it!"

"Okay, let's go. Bye, 80-HD! I'm taking him for some gelato!" I stood up, and then we left the house and hurried outside.

We were going to the police station and saw Chief calling to the other cop talking about the bank robbery and we didn't heard their conversation. My son rushed to the policewoman named Milly – her hair is red, short and straight. She and her friends Chief, Sarah, Zuzu, Dog Man, and 80-HD rescued me after Piggy, my childhood frenemy used his wrench to break two of our robots in a fight. This was the last time I met him until he was gone along with my other childhood friends. I don't know what happened next.

"Milly!" Li'l Petey cried. "Dog Man forgot to bring his phone that morning!"

"Your friend is in a bank robbery investigation again." said Milly, hugging my son.

Then Li'l Petey remembered that time when Dog Man was sent to jail after he didn't stole the money bag. It was not his fault anyway. My son cried louder until Chief ran to him. He coped my son and asked me why.

"Petey, what happened to your son?" asked Chief, dropping his phone on the desk.

"I think he's worried about Dog Man." I said, sighing. "He lost his phone at his house that morning, and Li'l Petey is now holding it for safekeeping."

Li'l Petey continued to cry. "Don't worry, Little Kitten." Milly smiled at him.

Ring! Ring!

"Hello, this is Chief," he called in a video chat. "What's going on, Sarah?"

"The investigation is done, and I'm going to publish the news on my blog later." she said. "Dog Man, did you forgot bringing your phone?"

He was shocked. Dog Man is standing far away from his house. Collardale is a very large place since I moved from Piqua. He can't go back to his home near the trees and the flowing river.
