"Then you can call me Daisuke." I nodded as I watched the teacher walk away.
We both explored the area for a bit discussing where we should go. He really wanted to see one of the lakes that was located near the Shrine up ahead. I didn't object knowing I didn't have anything in mind.
As soon as I saw the steps leading to that lake, I regretted not objecting. It looked as if there were 80 flights of stairs and an endless maze of steps. I sighed as we both started walking up.
"We're almost there (Y/n), we can make it!!" He was wheezing while was talking.
"Haha, whatever you say Daisuke." We both laughed a little bit knowing that there were atleast 25 flights left.
"Let's take a break and eat. I didn't eat breakfast yet so I'm abit hungry."
"Really?, me neither! Thank goodness I wasn't the only one who woke up late."
"Haha, very funny (y/n). Let's sit down."
We both then sat down as we pulled out our bento boxes ready to dig in. I had tempura and rice, and then saw that he was having sushi along with some blanched octopus. As we were eating, Daisuke started asking me questions trying to get to know me better, I guess?
"So, interested in anything? Like sports, arts, tech?" He eyed me as I scarfed down my rice and tempura.
"No not really, but if I did have to pick one sport I liked, I guess it would be volleyball," he smiled at my answer as he looked down at his food.
"Well...I actually play as one of the middle blockers on the team so you should come and watch sometime."
"Sure, why not," I smiled at him as he nodded. I could see he was redder than the boiled octopus he was eating as he looked back at me.
Before I could ask him more about his position, I saw something in the distance. The reflections of something was hitting off of whatever the object was and attracting much attention. I then quickly snapped a picture of it getting Daisuke in the picture.
"W-what are you doing?" He asked as I thought of an excuse.
"I just wanted to take a picture of this nice moment. Would you like to take a picture with me?"
"Sure!"
I then scooted over to him and sat beside him. He warppaed his arm around my shoulder as I tried adjusting the camera angle. Even though he looked pretty confident before, know he looked kind of dismantled, like he didn't know what to do. I laughed at his dorky gestures and took a quick snap.
When we were finished eating, Daisuke got a call from someone and needed a couple of minutes to himself. So I let him be and decided to check out what I saw before.
"Hmm, I wonder what that was. Maybe glass, or even a bottle? But if it was that, there wouldn't be enough of a light source for me to actually see it from where I was," after talking to myself for about five minutes, I found a path that lead to the light.
The path looked mucky with all of the mud that grasped the ground. The trees weren't much of help since they pretty much lurked over me and the gunk. It didn't look like there was much wild life either. It was pretty quiet that I got a little spooked when I heard the wind rush past me. I decided ultimately that I would go and see what was there. For some reason, I felt like it was calling for me.
My shoes started walking in the mud. Thankfully, it wasn't as thick as it seemed to be. It was only up to my heel so I avoided making a mess while passing through. I was traveling through the area for maybe 5 minutes to then realise that this walk looked endless!! Just when I lost hope, I was already near the end.
