《Chapter.one: (Y/n)》

♤Time Skip (Y/n) P.O.V♤

I could hear the birds chirping outside as the curtains rustled moving both backwards, and forwards. The cold morning air pricked my skin as I laid in bed. Today seemed pretty peaceful compared to what I usually experience. Since I was feeling good, I decided to get out of bed and prepare myself for the feild trip I was going on today.

I wasn't over the moon that we were going, but I wasn't complaining either. I heard that there were going to be interesting stories about prehistoric Japan times and hey, your girl needs some inspiration for her next Oikawa x reader fanfic (;3). But in all seriousness, I was actually looking forward to the story telling, and exploring part of this trip.

I put on my clothes, rushed through my hygiene, put on my limited edition Oikawa charm bracelet I got from my mom. It had different gold and silver charms with things that Oikawa liked. It was a limited edition special that jewelers were producing based on his popularity. Some of the charms were: a small volleyball covered in diamonds, a qoute with Iwa-chan's name made with silver, Oikawa's name made of gold, his glasses made of pink diamonds, an Aoba Johsai banner made out of rose gold, and his Jersey. His Jersey was actually coloured in which was kind of nice. I made sure to always wear this whenever I went out because of how nice it looked and I cherished it a lot.

I then put on my wristwatch my father gifted to me. It was a nice, soft, pink Guess watch that was made of a rubber material. I smiled as I saw the light reflect against the glass.

You see, my dad actually passed away on my fourteenth birthday due to cardiac arrest. There was a genetic disease that he's had for most of his life. Starting from age 3, to where he was. Thankfully, I didn't inherit such thing, but his passing was very unsettling for both my mother and I. During the time I mourned over my father's death, I started to binge watch many different series so, I guess that anime might have be one of the coping techniques I used to distract myself. I actually wasn't that interested in it until I saw Oikawa being introduced in one of the season one trailers for Haikyuu.

Actually now that I think about it, I think one of the reasons why I really like Oikawa is because he reminds me of my dad. Easily tamed by Iwa-chan (in this case, my mother), both were very passionate yet lazy, and sometimes they could be a little stuck up. But at the end of the day, they made sure that their team/family came first and put themselves aside because of that.

My father was a great man and seeing that in a person even though they weren't real, made me happy.

I then looked at my watch after thinking about that to then realize that I was going to be late if I didn't rush to my bus stop right then and there!!

"ACKK MOM, COULD YOU GET MY BENTO BOX AND BREAKFAST READY!?! I NEED TO GET READY STILL AND THE BUS IS ALMOST HERE!!"

"OKAY SWEETIE, BE DOWN HERE SOON!!"

I then rushed as I looked for my Polaroid camera and stuffed it into my bag. The heat was really getting to my head because by the time I was finished packing everything, I could feel beads of sweat coming down my forehead.

I was about to rush out of the door to then see something that caught my eye. Before I could fully examine the objects, I could hear the bus approaching. So I just stuffed them into my backpack and ran as fast as I could downstairs. I grabbed my meals, said goodbye, and lunged onto that bus as I could hear "Fly High" in the background.

"Y/n? Come sit beside me." The teacher looked at me angrily as I nodded and walked over.

No one was staring at me thankfully, well other than her. I could tell she was a bit upset at the fact I was late and if it were a couple of minutes later, we would've had to miss out on our trip. I sighed and I placed my bag beside me and looked up at her.
