~ Back Story ~

Childhood: Lunette was orphaned when she was 4 years old. Her parents died in a fire accident, where she is the only survivor. The one who helped her recover and stay by her side all the time was the Shanes, Eli and Will. They were neighbours after all and he was a Shane, thus he was able to help her. Will was back from Slugterra at that time, so when Lunette managed to escape from the fire, he was the one who picked her up and went with her to the hospital.

Both Eli and Will stay by her side throughout her stay at the hospital, making sure she was okay. When Lunette got discharged, she moved in with both Shanes as she had no one. Will decided to foster her until she is the right age to become emancipated.

When Will recurring disappearances to Slugterra happen, they realise that they can no longer keep a secret from her for they are practically her family by then. At the age of 9, she discovered the truth about the world beneath their feet by Will telling her himself.

Promising that she will keep the secret with her life, she continues to ask Will about Slugterra, the slugs, the technology, the culture. Will didn't tell her everything, saying she will know more when she is older. However, that will never happen as Will didn't make it, presumably missing as Burpy, Will's slug came to the surface to inform them about Will's 'death' one year after learning about the secret.

5 years later, Lunette gets emancipated and their journey to Slugterra begins.
