"Jared I'm leaving!" Running down the stairs, grabbing my shoes, and heading out the door. I was already fifteen minutes late to one of the most important days of my life. Or at least it was for me. I practiced years for this dance audition, and nothing could stop me from going. Well only time.
"Your keys, Aria" Jared yelled. I'm forgetting everything. "Thank you, love you big brother" "yeah yeah, good luck "
Hopping into my car, I put the key in and heard the usual whine of the engine. I really should get a new car. Me and my brother Jared are really close. Ever since my mom died, and I have never met my father, Jared kind of took over the role as parent. I was extremely thankful, but at times he could be quite annoying. My mom died when I was just fourteen. Jared has been taking care of me ever since. When I was younger I always used to ask my mother about my dad. Always feeling like this part of me was incomplete. As usual she brushed it off, "Aria, aren't you happy with the family you have now?"
"Of course I am mom,.."
"So let it go Aria. "
I mean don't get me wrong My family was great, but it didn't stop me from wanting to know about the other part of me. Jared always used to tell me that bringing it up hurts mom, and that I should really stop asking about him. "He's just a sperm donor Aria, you are so much better without him. " he always used to say. I was so fed up with not getting any answers about who my father is. It has always been like this, every time I brought him up, so eventually, I just stopped.
Honk!!! Honk!!
Looking up I realized it was a green light, and I had completely tuned out. 22 minutes late. "Ugh this could not be happening ".
Five car honks later, dodging two other cars, and one crazy taxi, and 36 minutes later, I finally arrived at the Dance Academy.
Parking my Honda 07 into a parking lot, and grabbing my duffel bag with everything in it, I ran as quickly as I can to the entrance of the building. I have been dancing since I was four years old. Twenty years later, and I finally got an audition to an amazing Dance academy. I just hope I don't ruin it with how late I am.
"Hi, um I'm looking for audition room 6, can you please show me the way?"
"Name?" The lady asked me.
"Aria Grant."
"Right Ms. Grant, audition room 6 is straight down the hall, and the third door to the right. They started about an half an hour ago."
"Right yes thank you so much."
This is just great, the audition started 30 minutes ago, and I'm going to walk in late. Can this get any more embarrassing.?
"Young lady, who are you?"
"I, I am so sorry I'm late. I missed my alarm clock, and I tried to get here as fast as I could and...
"I don't need your life story sweety, but I also don't tolerate late people. But I'm going to let you get away just once, get in the back. "
"Thank you so much, ma'am."

"We would like to thank you all for coming out today, and it was a great audition. If you get a letter back saying you made it to call back then you go into stage 2, and if you don't, then you have been cut. Remember ladies and gentlemen, we can only except six people total. Again thank you." Only six people get accepted, and I was late today. I really do hope I get in, I gave it my all. Getting in my car I took a minute to look back on today. I was late, and I made myself look stupid in front of everyone. Ugh, can this day get any worse.?
Knock knock
Rolling down my window I was struck by the most beautiful creature I have ever laid my eyes on. His black Armani suit, tailored to perfection, you could easily see his built body, and with his white shirt slightly unbuttoned, you could see his toned chest. Moving my eyes up I found his lips. They were lush, and so pink. He had the perfect jaw, so strong and stable. And his hair was black and cut short, with just enough room to run your hands through it. The guy cleared his throat and his gaze caught mine. He had the most intense brown eyes I have ever seen. Consuming you, pouring out all alpha male dominance.
"Hello, did you hear me or are you to busy ogling me?".
God snap out of it Aria, he is just a guy. Not God.
"Hi, um I was most definitely not checking you out. So thanks"
"Oh yeah? So what did I say then?" He said to me chuckling.
" I , I um.."
"Yeah I thought so. Can you please move you car, your blocking my beauty" of course he said it with a smirk on his face, and sarcasm dripping from his tone. Gosh I wanted to smack that smirk right off his rather sexy, beautiful...
Stop it Aria, focus!!
"Hello, are you deaf? Please move your car!"
"I'm not deaf, and you don't have to be such a narcissistic ass. I heard you perfectly clear. " and with that I drove away. Only looking back to see the shocked expression on his devilish face.
What a freaking day!
