Fan's POV, 11:57 PM

Fan was... upset. Paintbrush had left the building for a while- being with their "unofficial" (it was obviously official. They always talked about Lightbulb when given the chance. Cute but it always made him a little jealous-) girlfriend. The two were currently in the cabin Microphone and Taco made together for them in turn of an unholy amount of money.

But in short? Fan was alone, sad and not having a good time. Usually he would be talking to Testube but ever since she took the egg with her he... couldn't face her. Not now. His heart was shattered after his recent crisis- talking to his viewers about it. Recording it. The few amount of followers he had mostly called him moronic, stupid and shamed him for being unable to accept change. Fan soon took down that video.

The boy closed his laptop, sighing and closing his eyes for a brief moment. It felt like he could simply drift into a sleep, unable to wake up. Safe, happy, able to be by himself and his thoughts without disturbances and pain. Wow, thoughts after 9 PM fucking suck! Taking a moment to recollect his thoughts, Fan tucked his laptop to his side and began to walk downstairs and go to the kitchen. He needed a new environment to write in, that one spot had provoked several bad thoughts that took up the majority of this damn book.

When he arrived at the kitchen he took some cookies and water, walking to the couch and sitting down. Peace overtook him for a while, a gentle smile growing on his face as he closed his eyes and breathed in deeply. Don't think about things that you can't change, Fan. There's no use. Just... relax.

Until there were footsteps.

Trophy's POV, 12:04 AM

Trophy woke up, groggily rubbing his eyes and sitting up when he felt a hard pressure on his chest. Ah, great going Trophy. You wore your binder to bed for the fifth time this week and it's only Tuesday. He didn't have the heart to unclip it however, the thought of doing so and remembering that he wasn't cis made everybody so much more... horrendous. This entire hotel was horrendous. Stupid Knife, stupid viewers, stupid everyone stupid stupid stupid! ...and he was stupid as well. "Gh, no don't- think like that." Trophy whispered to himself, rubbing his arms before hopping up and opening the door. No bad thoughts was going to hold him down, no matter how hard it was to repress them. The weak person was Award. The person who was stepped on was Award. The person who cried constantly was Award. Award was a girl, and Trophy is a man. He's stronger and more confident, he's able to stand up for himself and won't let any assholes like his 'family' and the others take him down!

...at least he hoped he wouldn't. It was hard being alone. He was scared of being... Trophy.

Trophy walked down the stairs, trying to get a small amount of exercise in. He hadn't had much motivation nor passion to put into exercise recently so he simply read and paced around his room. In the halls he'd get glares and in rooms he'd get shunned, making him need to put up his walls in order to protect himself. Yet... right now it was quiet. The quiet hum of the AC, the small light peaking in through the windows from the moon and sky... it was nice. Calming. He hadn't felt that way in a while.

Then there's clacking.

The clack of a keyboard filled his senses, taking away any calm he had left. His dreamy smile was cut short as he set his eyes on the maker of such noises. A red headed boy sat there with a computer, eyes plastered on the screen. When Trophy took another step down, the boy almost immediately whipped around, fear coating his face as if he was expecting a monster of some sorts to come down and eat him. Upon seeing Trophy however, the boy smiled and waved. He seemed new. Getting eliminated rather early, Trophy ended up not getting to know too many people and easily forgetting names. Seeing as how this person seemed like an absolute fucking dweeb- it occurred to him that it wouldn't have mattered anyways.

"H-Hey uh- are you just going to stand there and stare at me or are you going to answer my question?" The boy tilted his head, a small smile on his face as his glasses threatened to slip off. Why was he noticing all these small things about him? Perhaps as a way to get out of the reminder that he just got completely and utterly embarrassed by a person who finally didn't get immediately terrified by his existence!

Trophy's face went beet red as he finally snapped out of his thoughts. "W-What was your question? I wasn't paying attention." Great, a stutter. The other boy's seemed to move a bit to the other side of the couch and patted it while speaking. "Well, I asked you what your name is! Y'know, it doesn't really seem as though you got much time on the show so I thought I should catch up with the people I haven't talked to yet? Plus you seem nicer than most people here!" He sure was talkative. Trophy hesitantly walked down and sat down on the couch- never taking an eye off of the boy while they were this close.

The other seemed to notice how tense he was and put both of his hands up to show that he didn't have a weapon of any kind and even slightly swiveled his laptop to show the thing he was writing about. Yingyang? And the name of the blog- oh. Trophy was talking to the person who wrote some of his favorite works. Lovely, absolutely fuckin' lovely! Time to mess up every single thing he can around the one and only Fan, the person who he admired way more than a person probably should. No homo though, just... his writing was nice. He may be pretty but that's not important.

After Trophy saw what he was typing he seemed to become much more relaxed and Fan smiled, making the former's face blush a bit. It's been a damn long time since that's happened. "I'm Trophy, the best jock in this entire building. Surprised you haven't heard of me yet." Fan's eyes opened in awe, a huge grin growing on his face as he bounced slightly up and down. The excitement shown from him made a small smile appear on Trophy's face- being happy that someone finally felt safe and comfortable in his presence. Over a year, maybe more without it.

"Trophy? Wow, you're a lot taller and nicer in person! You see, a lot of people call you a bad person and stuff because you're all mean, but I think you need  to be seen a little more than that! Only being on the show for a few episodes made everything harder for you to get much development shown on Inanimate Insanity, and being around people who hated you must have been very stress inducing so you took up the role that was given to you!" The red-head was bouncing and even set his laptop to the side to turn towards Trophy and quickly grab the taller's hands. Blush spread on his face like a wildfire, making Trophy look to the side. Plus, this guy's talkative as all hell. Annoying, especially because of how happy he looks about talking about others and their reactions to the show.

"I... thanks for the benefit of the doubt?" Trophy had no clue how to respond without sounding rude enough to scare Fan away or vulnerable enough that he'd be able to see that at least 50% of that was on the mark. At least, he thinks it is. Trophy never really knew himself anymore.

Fan's grin somehow grew wider, taking his laptop back onto his lap and allowing it to illuminate the small space between them. "Of course! You seem really nice under all of that mean guy exterior." He then proceeded to rest his head on Trophy's shoulder. This was extremely embarrassing.

If someone came down and saw him allowing this, what would they say? He would be taunted and ridiculed for being weak, like that goody two-shoes Suitcase or whatever her name was. He was not about to allow himself to become a pushover and a coward, not again. Trophy stiffened and Fan glanced to him, about to stop leaning and sending a look of 'are you comfortable with this?' for a few moments before Trophy's nerves finally settled down.

Award was gone. Award wasn't Trophy. Award was weak, stupid, cowardly and an all around weakling. Never again would he allow himself to be that weak but also... never again would he allow himself to be that lonesome again. So he said it.

"S'fine. Lean on me if you want, loser."

And that Fan did.
