❧𝟏. 𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐫𝐚

Soobin spent all day complaining to his friends, it wasn't his fault anyway he didn't want to be here yet his friends continued to drag him along.
He was exhausted and hungry from all the walking so he would try to get them to stop at every store they went by. Now his friends had the genius idea to do something illegal. It was Soobin's birthday why couldn't they celebrate like normal people.

"Can we just stop for a second? I'm tired..." Soobin complained.

"NO! If we get there early we won't get caught by the guards."
Taehyun explained as he walked staring at his phone. It was the middle of the night, they weren't where they were supposed to be and they would definitely go to jail, Soobin thought.

"bread..."

"Soobs this is fun, just relax."
Beomgyu added, he beamed with a smile across his face even though he was tired too. Soobin has been clinging onto him this whole time.

"How much longer till we get there?"

"Soon. Just let me focus."
Taehyun continued staring at his phone for directions. Soobin whimpered and sat on the floor.

"Get up, the floor is dirty Soobin, I know you don't like walking but we couldn't just let you sit in your room and rot away."
Beomgyu was right, Soobin had spent the last two weeks weeping away in the darkness of his room, he refused to eat and now his bunny cheeks were starting to fade away.

"Aha! Okay this way, let's go guys!"
Taehyun smiled and walked away. Beomgyu once again started dragging Soobin.

At last, they arrived at their destination. The well known and talked about place. It was old, a monument in the middle of nowhere that now was the center of a city. Soobin had never been to a tourist attraction and he'd never imagine he'd come to this one, the stupidest one in his opinion. Taehyun and Beomgyu ran to take pictures of everything but Soobin stayed back and sat on a bench.
He never understood why it was so popular, he'd hear stories about it but to him it all was pathetic.

He occasionally glanced over to his friends, it seemed they were having more fun than him. He wondered when he'd be able to be happy like them again, it felt like watching a movie. It wasn't just his friends but everyone else, just like Soobin's friends they all were happy.

"SOOBIN! COME HERE!"
Beomgyu yelled out, waving his hand.
Soobin dragged his feet on the rocky floor and walked over to his friends.

"Take pictures of us!"

"Stop talking so loudly we'll get caught."
Soobin replied.

"Just take the picture."
Soobin huffed imagining how long they'd be here. He didn't want to be here if there were hidden cameras somewhere they would get caught. To get to this monument they had to pay but his friends said no to capitalism. 

It was just them and a statue. No one knew if the statue was put into the city or if it was built around it but it was definitely odd. Now, Soobin could see why everyone would want to try and hold its hand. Perhaps he could sketch out a drawing and use it for his art class. The statue was of a boy with curly hair. He had a perfect face with sharp yet delicate features. The stone boy was handsome, he couldn't deny it. Soobin wondered who the person sculpted was. Although it wasn't just because of the looks, more so the message written on its plaque.

"𝑇𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑚𝑦 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦."

It had a whole story revolving around its existence and Soobin couldn't care less. His friends took turns posing and holding the hand of the statue and obviously nothing happened.

"Okay, It's your turn now!"

"haha, no way."
Said soobin, shaking his head.
His friends didn't listen and continued dragging him over to the podium.

"This is so stupid, it's just a dumb statue!"
Soobin protested.

"mhmm sure, move to the left, great!"
Taehyun stood behind the camera giving directions.

Slowly soobin stretched his hand over to the cold stone figure. The flash of the camera blinded him for a second and the next thing he knew, he was holding a heavyweight on his arms.
