Grandma was in the kitchen, preparing to go out and purchase some herbs for some tea. At sunset, Red would be there with a basket full of biscuits to share. They would drink tea with biscuits, knit, and have an overall good time. Or at least... that's what they thought.
That evening, an hour before sunset, Grandma went out to the market and bought her herbs.
As she was heading home she could not shake the feeling that something was dreadfully wrong, but she would not let this interfere with her daily tasks.
As the water began to simmer, there was a knock on her door. "Come in." She said, expecting to Red, which for a second, she thought she did. Then after closer examination, she realized something was off. Red was shorter then she remembered.
"Tea isn't ready yet but it will be soon. You can just sit over there for now." She said before finishing the tea. They sat down together around the fireplace and drank tea. This is when grandma noticed, Red had a tail. Curious, she tugged at it to see if it was real. Red yelped and ran off.
This was highly unusual... no worse... it wasn't possible, and that's when it hit her. She hadn't been looking at Red. She had been looking at a wolf.
She had no idea how to handle the situation. She was about to prepare to look for Red when she heard a knock on the door. It was Red, for real this time. She looked exhausted. "What happened?" Grandma asked.
"Some wolf stole my hood and ran off." Red responded. "Well I think I know how to solve your hood problem, and..." Grandma picked up the wolf pup "Meet your new dog."
