My Tears, My Soul

My tears fall

Taking another piece of my soul

One day I shall drown in my sorrow

But only without a thought of tomorrow

    I may seem fine

    But only on the outside

    You think I'm alright

     I only can fight

     I can be strong

I didn't know the voices were wrong

     They acted as my friends

But I got burnt in the end

My wounds will turn to scars

      My heart will fall hard

       My blood will freeze

      My memory will fade

      I will forever lie

      A face of stone

Still as the coffin in which I lay

If I were to be gone today

      Would you feel sorrow?

Would you regret your unspoken words?

      Can you feel my pain?

Can you hear my discarded cries?

      Or will you forget?

       Will you smile?

Or will you yourself sing the cutter's lullaby?
