an unshakeable connection
must mean we're soulmates
but soulmates don't hide away their love;
they declare it
at the top of their lungs,
in front of their friends,
to themselves
and to each other
if our connection meant more
than sleepless nights and a hundred ways
of saying i love you without saying
i love you
then maybe I wouldn't have come
whenever you called,
you would already be here.
