chapter 8

Katelyn's pov

Yesterday after Katelyn dropped me off i packed all my clothes which sadly was not much so I had only a medium sized suitcase full of clothes and a mini suitcase for any extra personal stuff I had I wanted to take with me. I finished packing and went to bed around 10 pm after eating a small dinner

Right now the time is 11am, I woke up a bit late today but I managed to get all I need to do now am just waiting for Katelyn to come pick me.

I gave her a call about 10 minutes ago, so she's on her way, am actually excited to leave this crappy apartment after so long I can finally have a new start thanks to this job

*iPhone ringtone*

"Hi Katelyn" I say

"Alright am on my way down"

Taking my suitcase I looked around the apartment I called home for almost two years for the last time then walk out closing the door behind me and walking towards the elevator

When i reached the ground floor I placed the keys to the apartment in the mail box as the owner of the apartment instructed me to do last night.

Stepping out of the building with a smile on my face ready for my new start I walked towards a familiar yellpw Mini Cooper with the owner smiling widely at me

"Morning mon amie, let me help you with your suitcase"Katelyn says stepping in front of me to take my suitcase and place it at the back seat of her car

"Morning Katelyn thanks again for helping me out" I said smiling once she get into the car

"As I said it's no hassle I wanted to help you out" she says while driving away from my building, looking back at the building I once called home I let out a sigh

"The new journey begins" I mumbled

"Yes I does trust you will have lots of fun by the way you're not alone you have" she said winking at me causing me to laugh a bit

The drive to the my new apartment was about an hour, we chatted back and forth
To my surprise I found out that Katelyn leaves in the same building as me which to be honest am relieved about at least I have someone familiar around

We drove into the parking lot of an impressive looking building, I waited for Katelyn to park the car then got out

She pulled out my suitcase from the back sit and handed one to me while holding the other one, she locked the car and we walked towards an elevator that said private

"This is Mr Alfredo's private elevator, he is the owner of this building so it's understandable" she explains while we wait patiently for the elevator to open I figured that was why it had private written about it

I would really like to know the connection Katelyn has with my boss she seems to know so much about him am starting to make assumptions about their relationship

"Did Mr Alfredo give you the keys to your apartment" she asks as we step into the elevator

"Hmm, no not yet"

"I guess we have to go get it from him then" she says as she pressed the 25th button, I nodded my head as we waited for the elevator to stop on the 25th floor

Once we got there Katelyn leads me to the only door on that floor puts in a code and pushes the door open, she just walked in like she owned the place while I tailed behind her

"Katelyn you need to learn how to knock I can't go through this with you every time you come to my house" I heard my boss's voice call out

"Blake you know how stubborn she is so stop trying" another male voice called out
