The Flower of Pain

Cursing I hit the floor. Pain blossomed through me, as my body fell on my hand. Tears streaked my vision, making everything blurry. I tried to focus on the cool roughness of the floor, while they were hitting and kicking my already bruised and battered body. Slowly I curled into a ball. Every movement causing pain to ripple through me. I watched my tears form a small puddle in front of me. My mind was numb as the bullies beat my body into oblivion.
I wondered what I had done to deserve this. Archer had only smiled at me. But for Carly it was enough. She had been crushing on Archer for as long as I could remember.
A stinging sensation in my face brought me out of my haze.
"He's mine, bitch" Carly spat out, her voice venomous. Her eyes glaring directly into mine.
"yes" I croaked out.
"good" she said without sparing me another glance, as she and her gang of clones left the bathroom.
I slowly tried to stand, and promptly collapsed the metallic scent of blood filling my nostrils. The pain was everywhere. I tried again, and managed to stand unsteadily the floor tilting under my feet.
I looked at my reflection in the scratched-up mirrors, hanging over the wash basins. My right eye was already swelling up, my nose was bleeding heavily and there were several scratches on my arms. Thank god they hadn't been able to scratch up my legs, since I was wearing a pair of sweatpants today.
I carefully pulled up my t-shirt to do damage control and immediately winced at the sharp pain it caused. In addition to the bruised ribs, that I had before, my whole chest and back was covered in dark blue bruises.
I quickly pulled my shirt back down, not wanting to see more. I knew if I went like class like this, a black and blue face, probably broken nose and blood covered shirt, that was so soaked I could have entered a wet t-shirt contest, my teachers would pitch a fit.
Quickly I packed my bag and started walking home through the woods. I was staring at my feet, when I suddenly ran into something or rather someone.
"sorry" I mumbled not wanting to draw attention to myself. I quickly looked up to see who I had run over. Archers green eyes stared at me.
"Oh my god Aurelia, what happened to you?" he gasped.
I said nothing. After a few seconds he seemed to have figured it out by himself. "I'm gonna kill that bitch" he swore.
