" I'm a damn time traveller, Veng." I said. Nakita ko ang pagtataka sa mukha niya.
He laughed. And I know that it's just a fake one. I swallowed and looked away.
" Grabe yan. Ang lalim ng joke mo." he said. I don't know if he is smiling or not. I just stared to the starless sky, down to the city lights.
" I know it's hard to believe." I said still not looking at him " Even me, lahat ng mga nalaman at pinagdaanan ko dahil sa machine na yon ay hindi pa masyadong nagsisink-in sa utak ko. I still doubt if this is all just a damn dream or not."
He didn't response kaya tumingin ako sa kanya. Seryoso din siyang nakatingin sa city lights. Hindi ko mabasa ang nasa isip niya ngayon.
Few minutes passed at wala pa rin nagsasalita samin. We both surrounded by a peaceful silence. Siguro ay sinisink-in niya pa sa utak niya ang mga sinabi ko.
" Tell me more." he said " I want to know your adventure" he added with a smile. This time I know that that smile is true. I smiled back. He believes me.
" I came from 2025. The owner of the company where I work gave us this damn project. Ako ang ginawa niyang leader and offered me a big promotion and higher salary. So..who am I to say no, right?" I saw him nodded.
" Maraming trials kaming pinagdaanan. We made hundreds of machines. And one day, I figured out the problem and then boom. It worked. To know more about that fucking machine, I volunteer to go inside and see when and where it will take me." I continued. I looked at him na tahimik na nakikinig.
Kinuwento ko sa kanya ang tungkol sa pagpunta ko sa Europe noong sinaunang panahon. Yung lalaking kapangalan niya na nakilala ko and the night when I first died.
" Pagkagising ko nasa kwarto na ako. Nasa ibang timeline na ako. Ang kauna-unahang nakita ko ay isang batang nakadukdok sa gilid ng kama.He loves to draw. Mahilig din siya sa mga agaw-buhay na laro" napatingin siya pagkasabi ko nun.
"I saved him again. Batang 'yon kasi ang hilig sa insekto." I said and laughed. I can clearly see his amazement and I know that he now recognized me. " The time back then is--"
"1997" he said and looked at me unbelievably.
He slowly pointed me. "You..." I smiled and nodded.
"That's me, you're dream girl." I proudly said and laughed.
"Woah." he said. Naks! Masyadong naamaze.
I continued telling him on how I get here. Noong time kung bakit magpapakamatay ako at kung bakit kilala ko siya agad.
" See? That's how destiny, fate and kismet works" he said and chuckled. I looked at him with a poker face that made him laughed more.
"Halika nga dito." he said and pulled me again for a hug.
"Don't worry about the future. Nasa present tayo" he said while caressing my hair
"Actually nasa past ako ngayon" I said and chuckled
" Oo nga noh." he said "Panira ka ng moment. Basta present 'to"
" Tanggap kita kahit ano ka man." he added at alam kong nakangiti siya ngayon.
I hugged him back "Thank you."

" Ay, putek!" Nagulat ako ng biglang may yumakap galing sa likod ko. " Bwiset ka, Veng. Muntik na matapon niluluto ko."
