Dante

Chapter 1

I pushed my lips against the cigarette breathing in. "Dante Mace!" my mother shrieked hitting the cigarette out of my hand onto the floor. Before I could say anything she stomped on it and dragged me inside. "Mom I'm 20 you are being dramatic," I said pulling my arm back and crossing it over my chest. "Noah get down here!" She yelled through the house, Camilla and Sophia were sitting on the couch watching the TV. My dad stomped down the stairs and wrapped his arms around her waist. "What do you need princess?" He said kissing her cheek. "I found your son smoking outside!" She said glaring at me. "Athena you have to realize he is an adult and he can choose what to do." He responded taking his phone out and scrolling through it. "Noah are you really going to take his side?" she asked taking his phone and putting it behind her back. "Dante la prossima volta basta fumare dal tuo balcone."(Dante next time just smoke from your balcony) He said looking at me. "What did you say?" she asked putting her arms around his neck. " I told him that it is not acceptable and he shouldn't do that again," he replied, she nodded and they both walked off.

I sat on the couch and took out my phone. I was scrolling through my feed. "Dante, Luca, Sophia, potete venire ragazzi con me stasera? "(Can you guys come with me tonight) Camilla whispered loud enough for us to hear but not loud enough for our dad too. Our dad refuses to teach out mom Italian so she won't figure out what we are saying. He taught us when we were young. I nodded and so did everyone else.

I went into the kitchen and took an apple out of the woven basket we keep in the corner. I finished eating the apple and went upstairs to get ready. I put on a pair of black jeans and a gray shirt. I threw on a belt and a leather jacket. I pushed my dark hair backward so it would sit on my head the way I like it. The doorbell rang so I went down to open it. When I opened it Aurora stepped in and smiled at me. "So I assume you are coming?" I asked she nodded and sat on the couch. Sophia came down and hugged Aurora. They were really close considering they grew up in the same house for a while. We all gathered downstairs and into my car. We all got into the car, Luca sat in the front and all of the girls were in the back.

"I'm hungry!" Sophia whined in the back, I rolled my eyes and started driving.

We arrived at the party. Many cars were parked outside the small rundown house. Many drunk high schoolers passed out on the lawn. I got out first and opened the door for everyone else. Camilla stepped out wearing a small black dress that showed a lot of cleavages. I grabbed her wrist and dragged her to the back of my car while everyone else was getting out. "What the fuck are you wearing Camilla!" I yelled she backed up and hit the trunk. "A dress." she mumbled, "That is not a dress!" I snapped at her. I went to the back seat of the car and took out a hoodie. "Put this on," I growled and set the hoodie in her arms. She stood there and looked at me. "Now!" I yelled, she rolled her eyes and put the hoodie on. I smirked and everyone came behind the car.

"He only does it because your his baby sister," Luca mumbled, We all walked into the house. Sweaty bodies were dancing to loud music. I pushed through them and found the drink table. I poured a cup of the mystery punch and started sipping. "Hey Papi do you want to dance?" a blonde girl in a tight red dress asked. I chuckled "bimbo I rather not." I replied causing her to storm off. I decide to go around and try to find everyone. I looked at the couch and Aurora and Luca were making out.

I laughed and pulled them off of each other. They both were extremely drunk. I saw Camilla dancing with some guy. I watched carefully as his hand was slowly going up to her thigh. She tried to pull away but that made him pull her closer. I stormed over there, pulling Camilla away. I put her behind me ash she held onto my jacket. "I'm giving you 3 seconds to run before I beat your ass," I growled, He was a lot smaller than me so I was basically towering over him. "3.." before I could get to two he was out the door. I turned around and hugged Camilla "I'm sorry Camilla." I said she giggled. I let her go, she was still really happy.

I sighed and told her to find everyone and meet me in the car. I walked out and lit a cigarette. A small brown haired girl came over to me and hit it out of my hands. "Stop that's a cancer stick!" she said but all I could focus on were her green eyes looking up at me. I smelt the alcohol in her breath. "Need a ride home doll?" I asked as she stumbled and swayed side to side. She nodded "What's your name-?" I cut her off "Dante, what about you?" I asked. "I'm Kalani" she replied almost falling over. I swiftly caught her and stood her back up. Camilla was back and piled them in the back seat. "Who is that?" she said winking. "I'm Kalani!" she chirped from the front seat making Camilla smile. I looked in the mirror and saw Luca and Aurora still kissing. I slammed on the breaks so they would pull apart. "Ow, I'm bleeding!" Luca whined. I  smirked and continued driving.

We made it back to our house. Luca carried Aurora back into the house and into his room. I scoffed and realized Kalani wasn't moving. I looked over at her and saw that she was sleeping. She looked really peaceful so I got out and lifted her up. My dad was awake and guarding the door. "Who's this?" he asked smirking. I rolled my eyes, "Her name is Kalani." I mumbled carrying her back inside. I laid her on my bed and went to find my mom. I woke her up "What the fuck do you want," she grumbled, "Mom I brought a drunk girl home so I was wondering if you had anything for her to wear?" I mumbled. she sprung out of bed and wondered her room gathering things. I leaned against the door frame waiting patiently with my arms crossed. She walked into my room and woke Kalani up, "Hey darling, I'm Dante's mom. Change into these and take this Advil it should help you feel better." she said handing her sweats and the Advil. She nodded and waited for my mom to leave.  She started to get undressed, "Bambina the bathrooms over there." I said as she turned around covering her now bare upper half. She ran to the bathroom causing me to chuckle. She came out of the bathroom leaning against the door frame. She shot me a slight wink before collapsing on my bed. I had changed while she was gone into a pair of shorts. I laid next to her and shut my eyes.
